Since she had the power to considerably affect the timelines she was in I don’t think there’s any reason for her not to scale directly to it. Each time Max makes a significant change or decision, it results in the creation or continuation of an alternate timeline, confirming that her actions affect the structure of different realities. Plus this is backed up by the Chaos Theory.I've skimmed through the blog a bit, since I really like the OG game, but why would Max directly scale to the cosmology?
So you mean as environmental destruction, then? Or something else?Since she had the power to considerably affect the timelines she was in I don’t think there’s any reason for her not to scale directly to it. No I didn’t mean environmental destruction. This ability is only limited to the storm she caused in the “original” timeline, she didn’t cause any environmental destruction on a Low 2-C scale. So you mean as environmental destruction, then? Or something else?
I don't know, it feels weird. I would see this as more of a consequence for her actions than her power outright. Probably the reason why she isn't rated as Low 2-C/2-C even solely with the first game.
I’ll have to check, didn’t really even think about the comics tbh.didn’t the comics state that there are infinite Realities?
Yeah it will definitely help with the cosmology. I’m playing the new game so I’ll keep you updatedI’ll have to check, didn’t really even think about the comics tbh.
I’ve taken a small look at the comics (first 5 issues) and wow, there is plenty of material. The statement « A multiverse of infinite possibilities » + Max being able to go to any timeline as she wishes (supporting the fact that they don’t collapse) and also her existing in a pocket dimension where, I quote: « There are as many Max and Chloe’s as there are stars » (infinite universes). I’ll revise the blog soon enough with all that.Yeah it will definitely help with the cosmology. I’m playing the new game so I’ll keep you updated
It explains more the further you read the comics so just take your timeI’ve taken a small look at the comics (first 5 issues) and wow, there is plenty of material. I actually just finished the whole thing lmaoIt explains more the further you read the comics so just take your time
Along with the other ones?I actually just finished the whole thing lmao
Yes, I think I’ve read every comic book there isAlong with the other ones?
Fast reader lolYes, I think I’ve read every comic book there is
Yup, I’ll add another section for the comics in the blog and finalize it Sunday. I hope this gets more attention. So far we have 3 2-A Statements
I don’t get how people can think she doesn’t scale to the verse directly, as she’s the one who built every timeline by divergence? To directly scale to 2-C you’d need to at least create a few timelines, which she has done. And yeah I’ll definitely play the new game and see what it holds!I didn't knew there was a Lis thread going on, I was the one who made the changes to Max profile regarding comics.
Now the Lis verse is surely 2-A, the problem is that Max doesn't scale to any of that time travel doesn't scale to AP (unless it's similar to the flash). You should have waited and see the new game since it's more multiverse-ish, I have been really busy so I haven't completed the game yet. But in an interview they considered the comics not canon to that game so... we might have to create a new key for the different versions.
She has to create directly them under her own power and not as an indirect consequence of many-world mechanics.I don’t get how people can think she doesn’t scale to the verse directly, as she’s the one who built every timeline by divergence? While we don’t have any direct proof that comics are canon to the games but there are things in the comics tied to the games we can’t ignore like forget me not which takes place after True Colors. Alex and Steph met up with Chloe and Rachel, now they mentioned “Timeline” which could very well be part of the multiverse so while I think Max game and her comic counterpart should have different profiles but I don’t think we should take away the comics being canon which answers a lot of questions in the gamesI didn't knew there was a Lis thread going on, I was the one who made the changes to Max profile regarding comics.

I don’t think she’s just doing that tho Like Hix said, Max Power revolves around Causality without thinking too much about it.The cosmology being 2-A is fine, but Max doesnt scales to it, a lot of verses have mechanics like that: "If you change something, a parallel timeline is created as a result", this is not the result of her power but just how the verse works
I never meant to say the comics aren't canon, they are canon but they aren't part of the same timeline as Lis double exposure. Basically one timeline will have Lis before the storm until Lis 3 then comics, the other timeline will be just the games. While we don’t have any direct proof that comics are canon to the games but there are things in the comics tied to the games we can’t ignore like forget me not which takes place after True Colors. The thing is LIS specifically shows Max actively changing reality. Her time-jumping creates new timelines directly based on her decisions (cf. the alternate reality where William is alive), and Life is Strange 2 acknowledges these as separate, coexisting timelines that stem directly from Max’s causal influence. So, Max’s powers do more than follow a multiverse mechanic like in other choice-based games, they’re quite literally the source of these alternate timelines. If Max didn’t exist the verse would never be this vast. The cosmology being 2-A is fine, but Max doesnt scales to it, a lot of verses have mechanics like that: "If you change something, a parallel timeline is created as a result", this is not the result of her power but just how the verse works
In some episode, Max has a vision of an alternate timeline where she didn't save Chloe from being shot by Nathan in the bathroom. so this hints at other existing timelines/realities?.
Ok, but in your blog post you say that the LIS cosmology must be scaled to at least 2-C. but the Developers fully confirmed that the game takes place in a multiverse?.This was set in the same timeline, the original one. She simply rewinded, that wasn’t a vision.
Yes! 2-C is Low Multiversal so I’m not contradicting myself. What you provided though isn’t proof of the existence of a multiverse because it is set in one timeline, in that sequence the events of Chloe dying are deleted due to Max’s rewind and then by the different choices she makes (a.k.a setting off the alarm). I rely on her ability to jump in time through her pictures to fully assess the existence of a multiverse. This ability allows her to go back to specific points in her past and make choices that create new, lasting timelines. Unlike her rewind ability, which only affects a moment within the same timeline, these jumps lead to the formation of alternate realities with independent, sustained 4D structures (I explained why this is coherent in my blog).Ok, but in your blog post you say that the LIS cosmology must be scaled to at least 2-C. but the Developers fully confirmed that the game takes place in a multiverse?.
I’m currently playing it too but I’m at the very beginning lol, I’m gonna make three sections in the blog page and then we’ll have an accurate final cosmology.I think I'm really close to finishing the game (obviously I will play it again to see all other choices) and spoiler
if you had waited and played the game you would actually have evidence to get Max a tier 2 environment destruction
I think you should avoid saying those things without the spoiler tag.I played the whole thing the whole stuff about the time vortex and the timelines I think it's 2-C.
BTW bae over bay
Sweet innocent child you gonna see what I'm talking about laterOkay, so I'm done with the comic part. I have finished Chapter 2 of Double Exposure so when I'm totally done with the game (probably soon) I'll complete it.
For now the game seems like it's gonna be limited at 2-C? Also unless Max created a storm that annihilated both the Dead and Living timelines, she wouldn't get 2-C environmental destruction but simply 2-C as she can make the two timelines bleed into one another.
