Fire's pretty haxxed if you think about it:
- Can't be hit due to being made of energy
- Can bypass durability (assuming it's target doesn't have heat resistence) by destroying bodily fluids (like vaporizing the water in your eyes or lips or blood in your liver or heart)
- can constantly grow in heat/power as long as there's fuel and oxygen
- decent to pretty good pain manip
- decent AOE that's based on it's heat

Don't forget that it has Regenerationn negating properties since it often causes a chemical change in whatever it burns, or it can just damage you to a level where you need mid-high regen to recover by incinerating and vaporizing.
