Immortality and Regenerationn Low godly evidences

Resurrection (As long as aspects of his mind, such as his soul and body, still exist, Hope will bring him back to life. Therefore, this is effective even against high-level Matter Manipulation hax or the likes) Sound like Low-Godly Regenerationn and Type 8: Reliant Immortality.

  • Low-Godly: The ability to regenerate from the complete physical destruction of your body, instead restoring it from your disembodied consciousness, whether that be your soul, mind, or something else.
  • 8: Reliant Immortality: The character cannot die as long as a certain being, object, or even concept exists.

Kratos, basically come back when from the concept of hope (Type Immortality) as long as mind exist (Regen: Low-Godly).

Sounds like Low-Godly to me but I'll wait for others to comment.

I have my doubts about this. Kratos' body was fully intact when he unlocked the power of Hope, and there's nothing to suggest that Hope makes him immortal. Hell, it's also possible Kratos didn't actually die before unlocking Hope.

"As long as aspects of his mind, such as his soul and body, still exist"

I'm reading this as "As long as Kratos is still in once piece", honestly.

One could argue that the mind has both the body and souls though; this has been the case, in many forms of fictions. This true in this verse, especially when dead, Kratos climb out of hell as a soul in God of War I

This isn't Low-Godly Regen or Type 8 Immortality. This is just Kratos realizing the true power he had within himself and reviving.

@Matthew Schroeder

So he can just resurrect himself, does he need a body?.

Zeus killed him by snapping his neck.

However, Kratos has literally crawled out of hell before many times. The mechanics of how that happens in-universe are vague at best. But it seems that once Kratos' soul lives hell he just becomes physical again? Or

That's almost verbatim how resurrection in Asura's Wrath works. That further solidifies what the OP is suggesting as not the case.

You're right, Matthew Schroeder. Additionally, after getting hope, Kratos skip the hell process and just come back to life and based on the resurrection text above it is more akin to low-godly regen than just resurrection.

i'm neutral at this. But high level resurrection and low godly regen can become overlapping.

kep said you need to destroying both the body and the soul at the same time to kill kratos. Because His soul passes on to the Underworld and returns to his body. So his soul is not in the same position as his destroyed bodies..

I am inclined to agree that it not low-godly but why not type 8 immortality?

If it is resurrection, then it can't be immortality because Kratos has to die.

The, I agree that Kratos won't get type 8 immortality and low-godly Regenerationn
