Kingdom Hearts Patch notes Ver 1.0

Nothing too wacky or wonky (yet) but we’re here to update some profile pages considering some are either out of date or lack some key information.

Xion

It’s already an established fact that Xion gets her powers and abilities from Sora. Specifically, the Orginization took Sora’s memories and used them to give Xion her powers. This is all fine and dandy, however Xion’s profile doesn’t list all of Sora’s abilities as they should. Simply adding a line/quote in her P&A sections saying something like “All of the powers and abilities of KH1 Sora” should be enough.

Xemnas

The man needs a Low 1-C key for his Final Form in KH2. He merges with Kingdom Hearts (Heart of people) and becomes a significantly bigger threat second only to the Lingering will. This should put him more in line with Drive form Sora who already scales to Low 1-C.

Goofy

He also needs a Low 1-C key for KHIII. He was capable of blocking an attack from Terra-Xehanort that knocked Lea unconscious.

Donald

Needs a Low 1-C key for KHIII. He was capable of 1 shotting Terra-Xehanort with Zettaflare and could help Sora and Goofy deflect an attack from the X-blade.

Edit: Not all of KH1 Sora’s abilities will be given to Xion. Each one will likely be discussed in a later patch.

that should do it for this first round of patches, anything more will be done on a later date. Please share your opinions!

I'd be careful on the power inheritance for Xion as not all of Sora's powers are just based on memories; it should be fine for mere physical techniques, but for magic spells and combinations like Gravity Break, that may be inappropiate, given that Sora is gifted such elements externally in KHI, thus Xion wouldn't get them by only having Sora's memories, even if the experience is a pre-requirement (given the plot of Chain of Memories).

For instance, Sora's flight came from Tinker Bell's pixie dust, and Roxas couldn't do that until he got that from Tink in a Days mission, even though he points out feeling like he has done it before, alluding to the memory of it as shown in KH2 (in his dream), further supporting this line of thought.

I'm fine with the rest.

I always wondered why Donald didn't have Low 1-C in his profile, glad to see someone finally has an interest in fixing it, I agree with the changes.

I do kinda agree that blatantly giving Xion EVERY ability KH1 Sora has would feel weird. We don't know if she could use say, Stop Magic (though I'm not opposed per say), and she definitely wouldn't have the Summon's that Sora has. Things like Ars Arcanum, Sonic Blade, Zantetsuken and other techniques would be more fair game (Iirc she even uses variants of these in her Days Boss Fight)
So maybe making a list of abilities that Xion should and shouldn't have from this would be helpful, though that would be understandably a bit time consuming. I wouldn't mind helping with that if there's any way I could.

I agree with the rest. Glad to see Donald and Goofy getting buffed, and the addition to Xemnas.

Ah, then it seems we actually might have to list out each individual ability Sora learns. And the prerequisite for Xion having them is that Sora learned then naturally without being directly given to him.

time and gravity magic since Sora learned these naturally in his KH1. Ofc we can exclude summons and Trinity Limit, and any ability that was given to Sora. Also of course we have to exclude the immortality.

Right, Trinity is a team attack.
Xion should be able to pick up from Sora, looking at his page;

• Info Analysis (Scan)
• Vehicular Mastery? (Gummi Ship Skills; It'd probably come naturally)
• Aura via Technique's like Stun Impact and Ripple Drive
• Various other Passive Abilities that Sora seems to gain naturally without outside assistance, things like Damage Boost and Damage Reduction
• Stat Amps
• Status Effect Inducement
• Invulnerability during certain techniques
• Explosion Manip

Though I'm betting Xion already has a number of those anyways tbh
