he is definitely hypersonic. he was faster than kaya and koma who were at least supersonic in the first manga. and he dodged several bullets easily. also he fought with arima who is at least hypersonic. in tg re he kept up with arima and broke his sss quinque. so he is hypersonic and tier 8-c now

Nope, that's just Ukaku bullets that look like lightning, although I do think they do travel fast

i am sure he is not subsonic. he definitely had supersonic reactions in the first manga. he dodged several bullets at the same time. but in the v14 fight despite his speed he got rekt by arima. in tokyo ghoul re they fought again and kaneki kept up with arima. that means he is much faster now. so we can say he is hypersonic or at least supersonic+.

^^^ no arima's narukami attack is not electricity but it is a fast attack. i believe it is much faster than a bullet. kaneki barely dodged it.

^ no it is not a random speed tier. even a s rated ghoul has bullet time reactions for example nutcracker a s rated ghoul can dodge some bullets. ukaku ghouls are much faster than other ghouls. arima fought with ayato , yomo two ss rated ukaku ghouls and touka (possibly a s+ ukaku ghoul) and he beat them easily despite holding back. also they were fast enough to dodge arima's narukami attack. and arima is much faster than a sss rated ukaku ghoul eto.( she was in her kakuja form i believe she is almost as fast as arima in her base form). you can see her speed in chapter 98.

and he is certainly 8-c now. he is stronger than eto who is definitely a 8-c. arima beat eto easily when he only has narukami a s+ rated quinque. but kaneki kept up with him when arima was using his strongest quinque sss rated owl. and he destroyed the quinque.

It definitely seems to be a random speed tier.

1. Dodging bullets does not mean moving faster or as fast as bullets.

2. there is the Potential for aimdodging here 2 unless you can show the actual feat this occured. Preferably if someone calc'd it but I doubt anyone will bother.

3. Even If he did have supersonic reactions that does not mean he moves at supersonic speed freely, hence why it's called a reaction and we treat it as such. you can see different variations of speed on our Speed page

4. Being faster then someone else does not bump you up the speed chart, normally a "At least" if the difference is quite significant

Sooo unless you can show me a calc or some statement for this hypersonic Tokyo ghoul it's pretty likely nonsense, and i'll likely change it later. The Tokyo Ghoul pages seem neglected for the most part so i'm not too surprised.

Err… sorry but how does "the thunderous cycle of despair" confirm its lightning any more than "it was like a flash of light" would confirm something is light speed. That just seems like an incredibly vague hyperbole to me.

Well it does say on the Lightning dodging feats page that machine generated electricity can be considered lightning speed. But it also says that if the purpose of the machine is to produce lightning it shouldn't. But then it says that lightning generating machines are often energy beams, and Arima's electricity is quite clearly not a beam in the scans, as it forks and follows a snaking path. So I'm not sure.

some people say it is not electricty but i think it may be electricity. in arima and eto's fight eto was hit by narukamis attack. her kakuja wasn't destroyed not even harmed but she was in pain in chapter 141 and 142. so maybe she felt pain because of electric shock. also in arima and shachi's fight shachi was shocked and fried by it. but i don't know how fast it is.

That's the point however, it isn't lightning and electricity feats are usually too vague for this sort of thing.
