no, hes shippuden version is tier 7 and above easly, due to being able to use seven gates. he didnt get any real good showings till the war, and thats where his 2 last keys come from

the writer did not think about what tier they are, so that really doesent matter. especialy with all the other plot holes
 
then gaara's Durability would of been way higher. which it is not.

is this the chuunin exams or kimimaru fight version? the kimimaru one has a... sand statue that is more durable than his normal cocoon
 
Gaara's 8-B key is his Sasuke Recovery arc version, so yeah, this is Gaara from the Kimimaro fight.

I'm going with Gaara for Lorenzo + Ricsi's reasons for now.

Bakugo can deal with people full out unleashing their whole element, as evident by Todoroki's giant ice wall. Also the fact he can stay in the air.

ice walls aint all that much compared to a litirall desert buddy, and he cant keep flying indefinitly, while gaara can
 
Bakugo can win imo, he has higher fighting skill + experience. Gaara would likely underestimate and be offguard. Bakugo might be cocky but he takes fighting very seriously. He agility would help be great help

not really, and gaaras sand is its own conacius so it would never be cocky . gaara has been killing since he was little and skill is debatable with gaara making clones and being able use his sand on a forest wide level. agility wouldent help as gaaras sand is more agile than bako can phisicly be. and gaara at this point goed full serius right away against his enemies

Ice walls that can yield 8-A power and energy input are...its literally the same as Gaara just unleashing all of his sand out, much like Todoroki does.

He can keep flying for a long enough time, it only takes him a weak explosion or two, and Gaara prefers to stand around and let his sand do most of the work, but I doubt particles of sand can constantly keep blocking explosions. Bakugo is smart enough to get past his defences honestly, plus having things like Stun grenades and heavy hitters like his gauntlets
 
Gaara killing weak fodders doesn't mean he's skilled in fighting. I didn't say this will be easy for Bakugo, but explosions are a good counter for sand.
 
They dampen the power but, Bakugo has widespread explosions, Gaara and his sand would have to consistently keep up with it.

no... that ice cant shift and move in all directions, and the scale is still different, as an entire desert will make it so that baku has to keep himself in the air tonot get killed

again, no gaaras sand can tank his attacks, reecreate its damaged parts and gaara tends to stay out of enemies range

its not about being smart, i dont see how hed get around gaaras DESERT, he can attack from all directions and can fly away before baku gets close to him and send sand at him to slow him down
 
More like Pseudo-Flight or limited Flight with explosions.
 
Im going to have to give this to Gaara. Bakugou is by far the worst possible match for his ability. All he has is Melee and 2 Times Ranged Attack. Gaara has fought against far stronger Melee and far better AP and just wrecked them like it was nothing. Bakugos always gets up close first, and in close Gaara will just kill him and Bakugou ist not nearly fast enough to dodge Gaaras sand permanently.

Yeah, that is just the problem, thought to be honest, if it was not, it would be even more unfair. Gaara's Sand is massive in scale. The little bit in the gourd will already protect him from anything Bakugo can throw at him.

Considering he can turn the ground into sand in moments? Unlike Kimimaro Bakugo has no Defense for Sand Tsunami, nevermind the Giant Sand Burrial. And in the Chunin Exam Arena there is nearly no Dodgespace for Bakugo, no walls to jump from, nothing. The Trees will not help, but just be crushed. So what can a guy like Bakugou with his given skills can do against the Shinobi with one of the largest AoE in the entire Series?

Nevermind that Gaara's normal Durability is already as powerful as Bakugo's best shot with his Howitzer Canon. His normal blasts will not even hurt Gaara, considering his Armor of Sand, nevermind his Shield of Sand.

In the end, Bakugou just has no options against Gaara and Gaara has them all.

Easy win for Gaara here.
 
If we are talking about the Gaara that he fought with Kimimaro is a brutal beating, Gaara surpasses him in range, diversity, defense, attack potency.
