That's actually not explained. It's basically like this, Dio goes back in time to eat a Kars and become the Ultimate Lifeform, but there are only 37 universal resets and Kars still had 37 Kars' withing him even after Dio goes back and eats one of the Kars in the past.

... unless it is explicitly questioned or noted that there should only be 36, I really feel that's just a plot hole. Or just Dio not eating the entire Kars?

But regardless, if it's not explained how he survives, then my point stands. His TPI has no connection to D4CU, and without D4CU being the reason there were still 37 Kars around, it is missing the critical feat that it needs to be Acausality and not just Immortality Type 6

Either way I don't see how this has anything to do with D4CU, to be honest.

If the present person is not replaced by another copy of themselves from another reality when their past self is killed or altered, it's not type 3 acausality.

That's what it has to do with D4CU. It doesn't replace you when your past self dies. It replaces you when your present self dies. So it's not type 3

Since when does type 3 require that it replaces your self throughout all of time and not just your present self?

I didn't say replace your past self, I said replace you (your present self) when your past self dies.

The page doesn't say that either, so you should probably update it because it seems like a pretty important detail to not be mentioned.

So since Type 3 Acausalities definition is being changed this CRT will need to be changed,

The current powers given to N. Kars still seem a bit to bleak, "Portal Creation that allows Dimensional Travel, and Parallel Universe Creation, Immortality (Type 6 and 8) Non-Corporeality and Invisibility" so I feel like changes are still needed such as maybe Duplications and adding a description of how it works to the Immortality.
