It's basically an atom eating tongue that leaves an atom eating field in the space where his tongue has touched.

He can actually directly invisibly attack his enemy now, he has no need to use his actual tongue to leave a path anymore It's just Hungry space right off the bat.

I'm still uncertain about that. I think it is more likely demonstrating the insane speed of his tongue. If you remember back to the fight with Ichiryuu, we weren't able to see his tongue due to the speed from him starting to get serious.
