So, a blog for Tooru/WoU vs SCP-096 came out today (a bit random, I know), and with it, a ton of interesting things and new feats that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Most notably an Environmental Destruction feat for the Love Train that got to ******* country level. What’re your guys thoughts?

I have no idea how they'd get this feat specifically up to country level, although we do already have this on Funny Valentine's profile as a city level ED feat. Id think if they were going to try any scaling on the corpse parts though, it would be the massive country spanning storms it made upon Jesus's death.

Anyway, not to discredit the effort that's gone into the blog (it seems like a lot of nice effort was but into the visuals and organization which I can respect), but I'm really not a fan of Toru/Wou Vs. 096. The fight ultimately boils down to "Can 096 run through the brick wall that is WoU hard enough to kill Toru permanently", which is a solid no considering how 096 is basically a standard 9-A character with absolutely none of the hax needed to deal with Wonder of U at all (NPI, resistances to logic manipulation, or a way to counter his regen and immortality). There's the occasional wacky interpretation of 096 that I suppose they may use to try and prove he has a chance, but I've always found that of all of the most famous SCPs (173, 682, 106, 049, 076, etc.), 096 has the least number of versions of him that go to an 11 on the cosmically busted scale. Literally all of them, except for that version that they threw into the sun, and just relatively more powerful people with the ability to home and easily kill regular humans who see there face. Nothing more, nothing less.

In the end, I gotta wonder if part of this matchup is just a way for people who stan WoU and Go Beyond religiously to hype them up. Like everyone know SCP is a strong verse, with some basic characters having stronger interpretations. So I wouldn't be surprised if they gas up 096 just to say that he loses to WoU to gas HIM up. It's also just like, STUPID dense. There's a lot of fluff to the blog where it just seems like they are adding things in to push their overall agenda with that line of scaling (although they at least didn't downplay GER and Part 7 as much for no goddamn reason lol). It also doesn't help their case either that they use other random VS battle blogs, respect threads, spin-off content like SCP Containment Breach, and f***ing Death Battle as "evidence" for god sakes. The only credible things they have on there that should be credible for the debate are the JoJo Manga, JoJo Wiki's translated interviews (I'm less inclined to include their own translations of guidebooks though), The SCP Wiki, and MAYBE the Wanderers Library/International content.

Overall, I'm not saying I hate this matchup, I just have a lot of gripes with it that stem particularly from previous actions of this side of scaling.

Edit: Okay I totally didn't even notice that they had 096 win the end, so that's on me lmao. That being said it seems like it was still a close vote among the group, and I suppose I would be even more upset if they gassed up 096 as much as they did to just make him still lose. SCP wank ig still prevails though
