TIL a good chunk of Mid-Tiers scale to this calc, and now I'm really annoyed.
To anyone who saw this calc and didn't think anything was wrong, I have a question for you: If one floor is 4.3 meters tall, why is a 14-floor tall hole (60.2 meters) 96.16 meters across?
I'll tell you why, because the calc only measured the wall of a floor and excluded the space covered by the balconies, specifically with the floor covered by the thickest balcony, thus making the height of one floor smaller, causing the hole to be larger than it should in comparison. AKA, a classic case of Shrinking the Reference.
As a result, every length is 1.5x what it should be, meaning the volume destroyed is over triple what it should be. Also, the second part's measuring is even worse! The height of a window is referenced for the height of a floor, which is just wrong. (Unless you're in one of those buildings where the walls are basically just windows) Granted, it barely adds to the total result, but still!
Because of this, I made my own calc:
