In order to knock someone out, Josh has to put a mask-type thing over their mouth and force them to breath in anastasia

This could work in knocking Jason out, but he would have to get the hockey mask off of Jason and restrain Jason long enough the gas to take effect

In this fight, he only has a knife and his gas canister, and he doesn't have his syringe

Josh does have a higher AP and is smarter. Both also have a knife, so he can just resort to stabbing Jason to death if needed. But it is in character for him to try and go for the knockout gas method first

He easily tanked a baseball bat swing, which can scale from around 300 - 1000 Joules. Because the bat was swung by a rather athletic person while they were running for their life, it would likely scale in the 500 Joule range or so. Jason is baseline Street Level, or 300 Joules. So Josh is a tad bit stronger in AP

Reboot Jason should be Wall Level or High Street Level, but nobody has ever made a calc for him, so he's only baseline until someone makes a calc for 2009 Jason finding out how much energy was needed to destroy the wood planks
