She has bullet timing and a sword, which should make up for the AP gap considering piercing damage.

Sword only would to a degree, you can't easily kill a bear with one, and Jacket is about the same as one in terms of physicals. Obviously she can still hurt him but I do think he's got a huge advantage in close combat

Jacket has the advantage in every category here, he and three other men could do what an entire military company couldn't do in two weeks in a single day.

I assume he also has an M16 here because weapons weren't specified for him, just that he had all the equipment he gets in the game. A fairly accurate and skilled shot with an automatic weapon is going to have an easy time here.

Saeko having a pistol does not affect the outcome of the battle. She keeps a pistol strapped to her thigh, but she has not been taught how to use a firearm, nor has she ever been shown using a firearm. Her only combat knowledge lies in close-quarters and kenjutsu.
