Is this NLF?

Would this work unimpeded outside the verse? I heard power mimicry standards have become stricter over the months. Anyway.......

He can acquire any powers or skills by thinking he has them. It sounds nlf but........

His power taps directly into the mental plane, in a literal sense. The mental plane captures his imaginations and can overwrite his physical body's capabilities with whatever he's imagined he has, from there.

This isn’t power mimicry. They’d have to be mimicking something to have the powers for it to be power mimicry.

Having an ability by thinking it into existence is Subjective Reality, but yes it would be NLF if you tried to give them every ability on the wiki just off that statement. You can only give them the abilities that they have shown.

I guess subjective Reality Based power mimicry? By seeing the opponent powers, imagining them and having them.

You're right that statement alone wouldn't suffice, that's why I added the explanation on how it works.

You can think of yourself being able to practically destroy the entire planet for example. Now that scenario is happening in your mind as we speak. This guy can go there and bring him into the real world if he wants, or absorb him to acquire that power. That should give you a good idea of how it works. He's directly connected to the mental plane, which empowers him.

Unless it's nlf to assume he can think..........

Its not NLF to assume he can think.
Its nlf to assume that he can think of anything and everything and adopt these thoughts into the real world.

NLF was created because if we actually took every single one of these type of statements at face value, half the wiki would be tier 0 when their best SHOWN feat is probably just bulding level. Sure maybe the author truly did intend on making him a verbatim et literatim omnipotent, but for our purpouses, we only stick to what we can directly prove. Any staff member can confirm this.

That's the thing, how it works is what determines whether it's nlf or not. Ie the mechanics

I'm not extrapolating it to beyond dimensional levels by the way.

In this case his thoughts are accessible to him. Just like the example I gave. If he thinks of himself as being able to use fire, he'd get it on account of that imagination happens on the mental field which he can physically access to get said powers. Or he can just move that mental version of himself using fire from thoughts to reality

And from the story, most of his hax and stats stem from this system.

What @catzlaflame said, even if a character is portrayed within the verse as with no limits on this regard, we wouldn't extrapolate/assume anything whatsoever even in their dimensional level is within reach, only what's actually shown is valid for our purposes.

Understood

Does that mean power mimicry is unusable on this website regardless of the mechanics involved?
