Many people believe, that Saitama is a concept of a character, that can beat anyone and everyone. I disagree. IMO Saitama did not show anything that would indicate this, he is 5b and probably he will stay at this power level.

What do you think about this?

PS.: Sorry for bad english :/

He's a parody character, technically he can beat anyone which is why he shouldn't be used in matches in the first place

If thats the case let not OPM as whole since alot of the characters are parodies of exisiting archetypes in ficiton.

Saitama is a gag character in concept, not in terms of his capabilites; if you want a real gag charcater with no definitive power level go to a show like Spongebob like mentioned before or the Amazig World of Gumball.

@Frozone

It doesn't work like that around here. Yes, he's a gag character, but we run off feats. Just because he's designed to beat everyone in one punch doesn't mean he actually will when you place him against any character from outside his own verse,

If he is a parody character, then he has to have a reference or character to base off of that would make him a parody, IIRC. Either way, he has usable feats and is a growing character as a whole with a series that hasn't ended yet. He has no established power level because we haven't seen the end of his abilities, not because he's a "parody character". I'd really use gag character instead of parody character for your argument my guy.

at least that's what i understand on saitama

"He has no established power level"

U do relize there are tons of characters that have no established power levels that completely destroy everything in their own verse, right?

You can use this "___ wins because they're never meant to lose" argument with almost anyone. And it'll always come out ridiculous and invalid. Just like it is with Saitama.

Saitama is a parody, he is parodying the shonen protagonist archetype.

Arale is an example of a gag character.
