Inkling Downgrades?

So when I created the Inklings page I was pretty satisfied with the stats. It was revised by WeeklyBattles, but I honestly feel they were given a bit too much credit with the revision. (Which by the way, had nobody else overseeing it. WeeklyBattles just went ahead and did it without starting a Forum Post.)

Start the video starting at 9:51 for the best display of my argument.
Splatoon - EPIC Final Boss & Ending (60fps - Spoilers!)
Splatoon - EPIC Final Boss & Ending (60fps - Spoilers!)

Attack Potency: For their strength, they are currently listed as Building level for the reason being that they redirected missiles and flying metal fists with their ink. However this is not a strength feat as the direction of the missiles is based on ink color. Watch as the color changes from the ink when the fists and missiles are shot. Even if it didn't depend on the ink color, the robot they are fighting isn't even the size of a Small Building and it handles several of those missile shots, and the missiles themselves are bigger than the inklings but not by a lot. It certainly wouldn't take Building level force to redirect them. This redirecting missiles is also their greatest feat of strength. Suggested AP and Striking Strength revision: Room to Small Building level, Unknown higher with special weapons.

Speed:
As for speed, they are listed as being Supersonic for reacting to sound based weapons like the Killer Wail. The only time you can avoid the Killer Wail is by getting out of the way as it's charging up. If you are in its path as it actually fires, It's impossible to escape. The same goes for their regular weapons since they get hit no matter what if they're in the line of fire when the trigger is pulled. They should be switched back to Superman. Suggested Speed Revision: SuperHuman

Durability:
Their durability should be equal to the Attack Potency listed above as they can handle a few shots from their own weapons, but can be one-shot by special weapons. Suggested revision: Room to Small Building level, higher with forcefield.

Others:
Their Regenerationn should also be fixed to Low instead of Low-High. There is no evidence they can regenerate from being reduced to a puddly. WeeklyBattles assumed this because they can phase into their ink. However a few shots from their weapons can kill or "splat" them and they can be killed by the missiles that were mentioned above. Suggested revision: Regenerationn (Low)

I was actually thinking about calculating the strength, although I don't have the time right now.

FYI WeeklyBattles assumed the Low-High regen because they respawn, not because they can phase between puddles IIRC

Respawning..,? That was the reason? Doesn't.... every game character respawn if they have extra lives? XD

Actually it is because they can phase between puddles, the reason they are splatted is because they are incapable of surviving contact with any other color of ink besides their own

Its essentially logia intangibility, where they turn completely into ink, then can turn back into their humanoid form

There aren't any non-ink based attacks in the game besides the Killer Wail which one-shots them. There's no way to scale their durability by the ink. But their ink shouldn't even be building level anyways as they need to ink walls to swim up them.

Attack Potency: Even if it depended on the color of the ink they are still able to bring them to almost a complete stop before they change direction. And yes the robot is the size of a small building, but you forgot to mention that it absorbed enough electricity to power a city, which would put it around Town level in durability. And yes, it does indeed handle quite a few of those missile shots.

Speed: Now that I look at this again I actually agree, but if anything their reaction speed should be changed to Subsonic for being able to react to their own weapons instead of Superhuman

Durability: Agreed

Others: I already explained their Regenerationn. It's essentially logia intangibility, where they can turn into ink and then return to their humanoid form. The only reason they can even be splatted is because they're incapable of surviving coming in contact with ink that is a different color than themselves.

We should get other mods and admins here to take a look at this.

I don't know where you got that absorbing electricity = durability. It anything it's to simply power the robot and its forcefield that appears when you get close to it to show that the ink can't harm the robot. It's not like the robot was being hit with all that electricity, it was powered by the great Zapfish.

Yet i'm the only one you asked to look at this. -_-?

Well I didn't want to spam every last mod and be like

"HEY LOOK AT THIS"

"HEY LOOK AT THIS"

"HEY LISTEN!"

"HEY WATCH OUT!"

"LINK LISTEN!"

I'm just a normal member >w> I'd sound like a pest to he mods if I asked a ton of them to look at this post. After messaging you, I was like "nope nope, too scared of being annoying. No more!" I felt like the other mods should be the ones to get other mods XD

But singling me out like this is something i actually don't like about though?

Well anyways, Speed and Durability i agree but with what Weekly mentioned about them having Subsonic reactions. *shrugs*

Oh no. Sorry to single you out. I'll go get some other mods then. I'm not a big fan of attention, so it's hard for me to ask a lot of people to go "Hey look at this!"

I'm kinda iffy on the Subsonic reactions too. They can't really dodge shots from the weapons. If they're in the line of fire when the trigger is pulled, they are going to get hit no matter what.

Alright.

For the AP part, i'm not really sure as to what to say on that so i'll leave no comment for now.

Other? About the same as AP.

I asked for one of the Calc group members, so maybe they can figure out the AP by calculating the redirecting the metal fists. I still feel like it has to do with the color of the ink rather than the force of their ink since their ink can't break glass or walls as they need to ink walls in order to swim up them. The most their ink can actually destroy are wooden crates. Most bosses are mechs but can only be harmed by hitting the tentacle weak points when they pop out since the ink can't damage the metal.

So, what are the suggested stats after revisions?
My suggested revisions are that their AP should be Room to Small Building level, but higher with special weapons as they can one-shot other inklings.

Their speed should be superhuman thanks to them being able to leap across maps in seconds.

Their striking strength and durability should be equal to their AP. Minus the special weapons for the durability.

There's no in game evidence that they can regenerate from puddles either so their Regenerationn should remain at low, as they can heal damage they take from enemy weapons, but can't recover from being splat.

Those were the stats I originally had them at when I made the page until they were upgraded out of nowhere without a forum post to back it up.

I also think that this seems reasonable.

AP: Fine, change it

Speed: Superhuman with Subsonic reactions, they use paint-based weapons, on average a paint gun fires at about 91 m/s

Striking Strength and Durability: Pretty much what you said

Regen: IT IS LOW-HIGH. I already explained this, the reason they can be splatted is because they cannot survive being in contact with different colors of ink besides their own. Plus, they do turn into puddles, otherwise they wouldn't be able to go through sewer grates and chain-link fences like they do.

Okay then.
I'll fix the page now since we've gotten multiple votes from mods. I don't have the power to close threads so a mod will have to XD

Also to Weekly Battles: They can be one-shot by the metal fists and the first boss that crushes them before any ink even comes out. They also die from water and bottomless pits. Those are the only non-ink based things in the game, yet they still kill the Inklings.. There's nothing in the game stating they can regenerate from being forced into a puddle. It's just your speculation.

If them turning into a puddle is just speculation then One Piece logia devil fruit users Regenerationn should be changed as well, since their logia intangibility is the same as the Inklings turning into ink. The first boss is literally covered in purple ink which is why it is able to splat them, and you have to slow down the fists and change their color because they're a different color of ink, which is why they are able to splat inklings.

Again, there's no hard evidence in-game. You regenerate slowly on your own and going in ink doesn't speed up the process. I'd agree with you if there was proof. But speculation doesn't go very far on this wiki, trust me. >.>

Im fully aware, go ahead and make the adjustments but leave the Regenerationn alone, i want to ask a few people about it before its changed
