Important: A change in our wiki tiering format

Also, there is still the tab2 revision to help finish, so don't overwork yourself with both at the same time please.

But why template it all if it's just gonna add some unnecessary scrambling around, especially with things that pretty much have to be manually written in anyway (ex. possiblies, likelies, and in some cases move-specific and transformation-specific tiers)?

Because it's the only way to add sub-tier categories using a bot, for 30,000 pages :V

Like yes it's not ideal we've reached a point where we had to do this, but it's a minor change for something the wiki crucially needs.

I agree with Impress. It is a trivial change, even if it will take some getting used to.

However, I have two questions for Impress and Amelia:

Let's say that we later decide to only add tier categories with the templates, and remove all of the ones that were added manually with our automated categories mass-editing script. Would the ones added by templates still remain in the profile pages afterwards, and would there be any potential damage to the wiki due to conflicting scripts, if I let my Bot account handle this task later?

Thank you for helping out. It is very appreciated.

Yes, because they technically are a part of the Template, not the page, coding wise

Shouldn't be, but it must be afterwards the project is complete 100% though

Okay. Thank you for the information.

Can you verify with Amelia, as she is quite experienced at coding?

Thank you for helping out. It is appreciated.

Thank you very much to Amelia for helping out so much, and to everybody else helping out here as well.

Thank you.

Promestein told me that she is also willing to help out.

AWB has isssues updating if multiple people are running it at once, so best refrain from it right now.

Thanks to her for the offer though.

Okay. She said that she can likely get it done considerably swifter though.

She also made some improvements to the code.
