According to the 2016 testaments and the doom eternal lore book (doom artbook https://imgur.com/gallery/2ESYJNt) the Icon of sin was set upon the night sentinels.


And as we know hell absorbed their realm into itself, and we also know that the end goal of the universe absorbing blackhole the Icon will eventually create is too absorb the reality into hell, this means the Icon must've survived it beforehand right?
