Okay, let me re-explain:

1. Select > Color Range

-A menu should've popped up after doing that-

2. Click on the image, the colour that you want to get rid of completely (in your case, I'm assuming it's a blank white background)

3. Adjust the "Fuzziness" in the menu to around 90.

4. Click the "OK" Button in the menu to select everything in the image that has the exact same colour of what you've selected previously.

5. Press Backspace to delete it all.
