How would we rate this verses speed?

If a verse has Subsonic/Hypersonic feats and make them out to be impressive, but later provided legitimate Sub-Relativistic feats, and even multiple Massively FTL+ feats that were done throughout the series around the same time as the Subsonic/Hypersonic feats.

What do we even rate their speed as if all the feats are considered legitimate and have several feats/statements to back them up, and the verse acknowledged them all? Do we rate them as "Varies"?

That really depends on case by case. Is there lore about them getting stronger/faster? Or is their lore about their powers and abilities having fluctuations. And also how many high end feats vs low end feats are there? And what feats are combat speed feats wither others being flight speed feats?

They get faster but not to some massive degree, and the feats take place around the same time due to the expansion of lore. They have almost about the same amount of feats for each rating but the Sub-Relativistic and Massively FTL+ have about 1 more feat/statement to back them up. As for the feats, they are all flight speed feats but the characters always fly while fighting and comment about going as fast as they can.

If they're both equally consistent, we usually priorities high end feats. And sometimes even if they don't consider gaps too drastic, it could often be the writers aren't aware of how impressive the jumps actually are.

Varies is used when a character or something has multiple ratings of attack potency (or speed, or any rating) and can use all of them. It's like Deidara, he has "Varies. At least X with C4, Y with C3, Z with C2" etc etc. I'm not sure if you can use this here. You can just rate them with the highest calc/value you have, since "varies" doesn't fit here.

I think it is case by case , but power escalation is a thing in most verses so it should not be automatically deemed an outlier

It kinda depends on which is consistent, and the context, lore, etc.

For example, there is a verse that has multiple massively hypersonic feats based on calculations made in this sub.
But the lore and context of the verse treats the speed of sound as an extremely fast god tier speed.

I'd be more inclined to deem the MHS feats as outliers and stick to the author intent, provided that there are plenty of instances for both cases of speed levels. As I'd be more inclined to dismiss numbers from calcs.

Though I agree with DDM if both high end and low end feats are equally consistent, it's fine to go to either if there's no other explanation. I know verses that suffer from similar problems.
