How to remove an added category?

My Abydos character is in category Tier 5, but with the retcon he no longer has a Tier 5, and my Nihilo Deus has a category "Questionably Omnipotent Hax", which he doesn't actually have, I just added to see what other characters had it.

If you edit the page, as in the page itself and not any of its headings, you should be able to see the full list of categories for the character on the side. Hovering over a category reveals a trash can, and clicking it removes the category from the character.
