How much energy would be needed to destroy Sirius A from Earth?

Basically, a character fires an energy beam from Earth that travels all the way to Sirius A, destroying it completely. What type of tier would this feat place the said character in?

It's just the energy required to destroy the star which I calculated to be 1.431x10^42 joules (Star level+). The distance travelled isn't actually relevant here, however, depending on the time it took to reach the star, the energy beam's speed can be calculated.

Gravitational binding energy of sirius A. You need the mass, the radius and the polytropic value which I got from google the apply the formula: 3GM^2/r(5-n)
G is gravitational constant, M^2 is mass in kg squared, r is radius in meters and n is polytropic value.
