How many inconclusives make a win?

Genuine question I thought about.

In your opinion how many inconclusives make a win?

For me personally, an inconclusive is a small win for both characters, because having a tie between you and a strong opponent is a small plus for both, though not as a good as a win, some wins are better then others, such as winning normally or winning with restrictions or Unequal speed.

For me, 4 inconclusives=A win.

What about you?

Well Zero times Bazillion is still zero, so no amount of inconclusive can make you a win.
Depends on the character, usually leaving a match against someone like Reinhard with an Inconclusive is a win. ovo

I don't understand what you mean

An inconclusive means either neither can kill the other, or both die

There is no win in an inconclusive, no matter how many there are.

How can failing to win, even if you don't lose, 4 times (to use your example) mean someone wins?

If you see a character go up against another really strong character and doesn't lose, isn't that at least a small plus?

When you see Archer and Lancer fight in the beginning, doesn't it speak for both of them on how powerful they are?

I admit I no longer agree with myself that 4 inconclusives are as good as a win, but isn't an inconclusive just at lead a small plus for both?

Sure it says something that a weaker character can hold their own against a stronger character. But holding out a thousand times would never somehow "build up" to equal a full victory.

Not unless the only point of the fight is to distract/hold them off, but I'm assuming you are talking about VS match situations here.

Fair enough.

I was thinking more "Wow this person fought someone as strong as this and DIDN'T LOSE"

To better ask the question.

Would you rather be equal in wins and losses and have no inconclusives? Or would you rather have an inconclusive match?
