How does kinetic energy work when swinging something?

Same formula, except for the distance, you want to do a circumference for the amount of angles it was thrown

Say it was 90°, a right angle. Solve for the circumference, then divide by 360 and multiply by the amount of degrees rotated. That is your speed.

So, say the robot is 5m tall, weights 1000kg and the timeframe is 1 second.

Distance: 5*π/4 = 3.92699082m, which would give us 3.92699082m/s

KE: 1000/2*3.92699082^2 = 7710.62845 joules, right?

Also, something else I wanted to ask, how do you get lifing strength from throwing something?

Also... be very careful of the centre of mass and the rotational trajectory path. Otherwise rotational kinetic energy formula applies.
