How did you discover this wiki?

I was searching Goku vs Saitama.

Like two years ago on Google+ when someone was rambling on about how Sonic the Hedgehog had a lower tier than Kirby. Good times.

I saw some people saying Saitama wasn't invincible/limitless/strongest fiction character and actually making fun of someone claiming that and thought "I'll be safe there."

Just kidding.

Found the place while studying ways of keeping Power Scaling consistent on the verses I've been working on.

Basically....

>Gets interested in Crossovers and comparing fictions

  • Discovered Death Battle get!*
>It's too mainstream, I wanna see obscure characters I like

  • Discovered Death Battle Fannon Wiki get!*
>Hear about another VS Debating website that classifies characters under "levels" and thinks Tifa is 4-B

>"Ha what a bunch of losers"

  • Discovered VS Battles Wiki get!*

If I honestly recall, it might've been because I wanted to see if the rumors on if VSBW wanked anime were true. Mind you, I've been on this wiki since March 2015 (joined that November), so Goku vs Superman 2 was still ripe for salt.

Either that or I was looking for a who would win forum and just stumbled on the one who had the most fitting name. Now that I think about it, that sounds far more likely, closer to my memory, and less reprehensible.

Also, I got interested in characters fighting because an 11 year old told me about Death Battle.

I was debating on YT about dragon ball power. Some dude linked the site to me..

AND THUS I WENT ON TO SAVE AN ENTIRE FRANCHISE'S PROFILES

I've seen people use this site as a reference for characters on online debates, so I've been using this website looooooooooooooooooooong before I actually joined, but then I joined and the rest is history :^)

I was just looking to see how strong people thought DBZ was and I saw this wiki and was like... "These guys are quite fair on how they rate them" and I stuck around.

I went on the Dragon Ball Z subreddit when Super first got announced and I got nostalgic. They had a link to /r/whowouldwin because people kept spamming "WHO COULD GOKU BEAT?" threads. Somehow I found a link to the wiki, and after noticing the wiki had articles for Final Fantasy, He-Man and Digimon, I thought to myself "Hey, I like Final Fantasy, He-Man and Digimon. I like this place".

I've known about this wiki since the Death Battle between Goku vs Superman 2 came out. At first I was hesitant to actually join since I didn't want to touching anime / comic debating with a ten foot pole.

I also enjoying arguing with random people on the internet over who'd win in a fight between fictional characters as a pass time. :^)

I think that I saw a link to it while visiting the Superpower wiki. I did some dumb edits and was banned for 6 months, due to not initially understanding how things worked.

When my ban ran out, my obsessive-compulsive perfectionism kicked in, and I started to try to improve on things as best as I could.

Either during the ban period or slightly afterwards I also stumbled upon the ACF wiki and DarkLK who explained a better tiering system to me, which I eventually tried to apply here.

mine is just via that blocked user called Mustang, yes, a blocked user, and he is my friend you know! he just came here just to make threads, like, i still dont know why he even is blocked, like, he was angry and stuff, everyone is angry one time ok.

A long, long time ago (this would've been in 2016, maybe late 2015) I was searching Phantasy Star IV's characters on Google and not far into the search there was their profiles here. But back then I wasn't into vs debating and I had forgotten about the site for a long time. Then much later when I had gotten into vs debating I was introduced to this site on YouTube comments sections and G+ from haters of the site. I used to be a hater myself, but I have grown to know the wiki is more accurate than made out to be and the haters are using fallacious logic (i.e. generalizing based off SOME wrong profiles) when they call the site inaccurate. This site is even a fun place to be, probably the wiki I've had the most fun during my several years on Wikia.

I was in the comment section of Zero Vs Meta Knight in OMM, someone said that they didn't show all of MK abilities, then the guy posted a link to his profile here.

And you know the rest of the history.

I found this around 2015 and was like why is goku not tier 1 and shit (i wanked him so hard at the time :V) so I just watched over the site made an account for DBZ vs wiki and then saw the comment section. I thought the comment section didn't count as an edit but it did so i joined and got addicted to it ever since (I question why didn't i make a thread asking why goku wasn't tier 1 or something now that i think about it if my mindset was like that XP)

I was once searching for info about some HST characters on the OBD (which a friend on another forum recommended) and just happened to come across a link to Ichigo's profile here.

I discovered this wiki back in 2013, of early 2014. Trying to figure out how strong cell was, until I came on this place looking at the tiers, thinking to myself "Why do the numbers go lower the stronger you get?" I was also for Solar System level Cell at the time, and I was thinking "This wiki is crazy for having him at 4-C!) So I left it.

Than came back maybe a month later, trying to find how strong they had Bills (Called him this during the era of... People not knowing names correctly) I saw him at 4-B, and like rage-quit from this wiki for another few months, thinking (He's only a couple times stronger than Cell, He beat Cell level fighters with chopsticks! How's he 4-B?? I'm done with this place)

I heard about the wiki from a video SethTheProgrammer did called "The Downplayers Crumble" when ep 12 of DBS aired. I thought I'd check the wiki out and kinda just looked at different profiles. I thought about joining to upgrade Bowser and Ganon to 2-C (In their base forms mind you) and also to upgrade DBZ speeds to extreme levels (Massively FTL Raditz).

But I was extremely busy with school work at the time so I just occasionally looked at the wiki every so often. Then earlier this year in March I decided to join as I no longer had to deal with school work.

Still want my 486c Raditz tho.

I had just found out about Medaka Box when I was 16. I was obsessed with how hot OP Medaka was and one day, one of my friends showed me her profile on this wiki.

Looking back, I was pretty dumb and thought that JoJo was the shit. Then they got downgraded

Ayyy.

Those were some of the first profiles I ever made.

looking for a website that summarises character powers. was looking for a short summary of all of Naruto's powers and found the wiki, this was in early 2014

Been doing this stuff for years, befire this wiki was a thing, this is more active and easily accessible compared to obd so I migrated over here after this become big and I had a reason too.

The year was 2012. I was in my early teens at the time, and boy what great time to be an early teen it was. Internet memes were taking off. The golden age of movies and video games was upon us. I had gotten around to buying inFAMOUS 2 cause I played a Demon Target and thought it was pretty neat. Keep in mind I never played inFAMOUS 1 except for that one Demon at GameStop 3 years ago.

Needless to say, I thought it sucked. I didn't get any of the references or understand any of the lore. I was also pretty bad at the game in general. There was this certain mission I couldn't pass, so I dropped the game for like a year.

A year later, I decided to give the game another try. This time, something clicked with me, and I beat the game in like 2 days with the Good Karma ending. Felt pretty underwhelmed at the game overall and decided to drop it again

A month later, I found myself at GameStop, where they had inFAMOUS 1 on sale. Out of curiosity and a vague obligation to complete the series, I bought it for like $13, went home, and popped the disk into my beat up PS3.

I've been in love with the series ever since. The comic book aesthetics, lore and plot twists pulled me in. I even gave the second game a try, and now armed with a better understanding of the series and an appreciation for the characters and plot, I became a bit of a fanboy.

So when I discovered the heated fued between inFAMOUS and [PROTOTYPE] that was going on at the time, you better believe I got involved.

However, at the time, it was basically universally accepted that Alex Mercer stomps Cole MacGrath because "he survived a nuke" and "he handled bigger threats, Cole can be killed by machine gun fire." For awhile, even I believe Cole was just a slightly above average superhuman.

But part of me didn't want to believe that, so I hit the web searching for anything that could put Cole at a higher level. Eventually, I found myself looking over a respect thread on killermovies that claimed Cole's lightning storm put out more heat than a supernova. It turned out that the thread was made by a user on this very site (you know who you are :>) While looking for more info on this claim, I eventually found the users VSB profile (they used the same name as on killermovies, but they changed it overtime), and by extension, VSB.

I mostly lurked around the site without making an account, only looking at Cole's page, and was surprised that some people put him at Building level. Even I thought that was strange, but I was glad I saw it.

I didn't want to join the site at first because I was a bit nervous about arguing that Cole should be more powerful than he was at the time (I had found a few feats that would've put him at Large Building level), but eventually I worked up the never to join and made my case for Large Building level Cole. And then worked my way from their. Now, we've got the god tiers of inFAMOUS at Multi-Continental for Future Beast's feat of breaking the moon into a radial third.

Eventually I leaked into other verses, Berserk, Fist of the North Star, Invincible, Friday the 13th, Luther Strode, Marvel, etc, but it was my love for inFAMOUS that got me on this wiki.

So, yeah, that's my story.
