How are unclear paradoxes between abilities treated in vs matches?

So say a verse has an ability that makes it so you are absolutely always faster than your opponent and mechanics allow it to extend to any value within MFTL+. Now the opposing verse has an ability that also has same deal and same mechanic, and is absolutely always faster.

How would this be treated?

My first thought is it kinda cancels out or they're equal speed.

A verse I know has a similar ordeal but this type of paradox is already resolved through a verse specific mechanic/weakness in where two established and opposing absolutes cannot coexist without extreme backlash.
