Well, two ways.
The first one is assume that particular Giant Sting is a massive outlier. For example, the one we saw in Firefly’s animation is magnitudes smaller than that one. And also, we technically have no feats of anyone defeating it; js some arbitrary statements about hierarchy I was going to nuke as well since they are highly inconsistent, but maybe I’ll reconsider after re-watching the whole quest.
Secondly, I don’t believe the cap is so strict. You just need to not be directly a jobber (so Yao Guang). And you might even be able to argue Phantylia + Arbor is somewhat arbitrarily > Arbor but idk the exact narrative consistency of that icl.

Unless this specific vague statement is enough to counter it, then yea:
Since, well, it is directly contradicted by how we know Lux Arrows work (2 statements vs 1), plus what exactly “stars light-years away” here is in reference to (i.e the vantage point) or the exact implications of it are pretty vague.
So, take it as you will. I’m not gonna propose the cap yet since I’ll need to contemplate on it a lil more. And possibly scour some other statements.
