High 8-C Tournament (Round 1, Match 7) Rabbit VS Claire Rouge

If this was Base Claire, she would have had no chance. But in this key, with her being stronger and more destructive than before, having a passive fire-boosting ability, 2 spells that overshadow her already powerful Fireball that either freeze completely or turn to ashes, homing attacks, nearly all her attacks having a large AoE, an upgraded durability-negating Summon that surpasses Claire in every way and can one-shot characters stronger and more skilled than Claire which can become even stronger by absorbing fire (including Claire's), instinctive reactions of her own, a large range advantage, experience and aptitude in fighting multiple opponents at once, naturally high instincts, a strategic mind, senses advanced enough where hiding from her is nigh-impossible, and healing if necessary... Claire has a pretty solid chance of taking this. And she's more than capable of casting spells while running, dodging, jumping or fighting.

@Weekly And to answer your previous question, Base Claire has a feat of dodging a danmaku attack of lightning bullets, while fighting 1v3.

I mean, both Weekly and I presented arguments for the characters. We can answer questions about Rabbit and Claire respectively, but at this point, all that's left is other votes

Tbf, this is probably the hardest battle in the tournament so far, as both Rabbit and Claire have ways to counter and defeat the other, while also having weaknesses the other can take advantage of

''Bernadine vs fluffy will be harder but Bernadine wins depending on how many robots fluffy has''

It would be wrong for Fluffy not to have one of each type bare minimum. And that seriously pushes it against him. He typically has more.

I'd say only two robots would be the most fair comprison for that match imo (and I think that's how many different types there are?$. That's already three separate High 8-Cs on the field.

One character fighting like five or six High 8-Cs is far too obvious and honestly stompy

There are 4 types of robots technically

The OG ROBO bears

The updated more armored ones

The Mark V1 super ones

And Robozilla

Though Robozilla with fluffy alone would be way too much and is optional.

Eh. I think two to three at most is best. I'd prefer only two. But I can bring that up when the thread happens.

fairly confident Bernadine is gonna take it 6/10

I mean, that's cool, but if Rat (one of the weakest characters of the series and who doesn't have instinctive reactions) was able to get away from the transmutation attack, then Claire easily can do the same

He still need to be physically able to physically dodge the attack. Him precognising that he'll come out victorious of the zodiac war and knowing where he needs to be at a specific time, doesn't erase the fact that he needs to be and is physically capable of dodging Monkey's attack, despite his lack of instinctive reactions

No? He can teleport my dude

Since always? Its how he got into and out of the bank vault horse sealed himself inside. He's able to teleport through use of his ability

He doesn't know every future. Iirc, after Rat wins, he explains that it's only 100 possible futures, but he can see them and decide which one happens

Yeah, I'm starting to remember (also I believe there are minor negative mental effects as well)

Yes because if he dies in one of his futures he experiences it mentally, nearly caused him to have a mental breakdown at the end when he tried to use it to get out of obtaining his wish and saw himself dying 99 times

I know he can decide which future happens. But the events we see in the series are part of the "future" he chose. So logically, he should know every nook and cranny of said future. But the fact he was surprised by Snake's attack and even says "That came out of nowhere" and "What the hell happened?", it hints that he doesn't.

As such, my argument is that avoiding Monkey's attack from the panels still requires to react in time, which itself requires Rat to be physically capable of such an act, either by moving aside or by teleporting. He has to be able to react, and if Rat can react to that, Claire can too.

Except he doesnt, he is only able to see into the near future, not extended periods of time

Admittedly, it might be difficult to keep track of all the details, causing discrepancies in Nezu's memory, or he could have been acting as not to give away his power, but that's just speculation. I'd say he may have to react to maybe one or two attacks, but the rest he should be able to deal with

He was able to see long enough into the future to predict up until the end of the war. Both Snake's surprise attack and Monkey's transmutation happen during that time period

Even if we use the hypothesis that these 2 attacks are the ONLY ones he was unable to predict, my point that he needs to be able to physically react in time still stands. Since he could, Claire, who had better instincts, can as well

I'd be willing to agree that she can react at least somewhat, though we're never given a real explanation as to why those 2 attacks worked
