King's Engine only works against people who know full well who King is. Otherwise this is just a normal human vs a guy with a gun.

I don't believe so. It was discussed in another thread that his rep isn't alone what does it. Else he would have loss his other one

He's also lucky in-verse, which got him S-Class in the first place. Everyone heard about him from then, and pretty much everyone knows him as the world's strongest man. His King's Engine is his heartbeat which is misinterpreted by people due to his reputation. Joker would have to know more than the fact that King is a hero for this to be a fair fight.
