I'm really late but Gary shouldn't have 8-A, I thought it would be implied in the rules but we can't skip tiers either by making him fight 10-C characters with higher keys, this means that Gary can't inherit a tier higher than 10-B right now, be it AP or Dura, he needs to progress to the next tier.
