Yeah, it was confirmed it originally was Angel Dust and Vaggie, but I don't think it was at the time of the pilot though, since they pretty much didn't have that good of a relationship.

I understand that nowadays things aren't like they used to be, that production has the possibility of having dozens of episodes per season, etc. The number of episodes is much smaller and there's still a chance of it being canceled.
But gosh, wasting all the interesting concepts introduced in the pilot right away like that? It's just annoying.
There's no room for discussion, and especially theories. For me, it's quite noticeable because I follow some guys who talk about HH and HB and basically since HH ended none of them have commented on anything. Because there really is nothing left to comment on, they basically used up everything at once (except for Lilith, but like, they would have to do some kind of cliffhanger)

I'm not saying they marketed it like that but God damn the concept of a hotel where sinners come to to try and get redemption seems perfect for that y'know?
Each episode can focus on a new sinner and a new moral dilemma, letting the characters and audience reflect on who deserves redemption while you can toss overarching plot stuff with Alastor in the backgrounds and do world-building through the rotation of the sinners and so on.

I think that’s what it’s gonna end up going towards. Season one was establishing that it works, season 2 will start having people join.
Problem is that stories like that need more than 8 episodes a season to function well

Just watched the show. Nice premise but terrible pacing and a lot of inconsistencies. The whole heaven vs hell thing was far too rushed. Enjoyable to some extent but overall very cringey. Hopefully the future seasons patch up the flaws of season 1.

i don't understand the inconsistencies part, yes i understand the pacing (man shit is fast)but the show is not a whole heaven vs hell, it is just the hotel vs the extermination army.

The consistencies mostly surround angels.
Vaggie not remembering that angel weapons can harm angels. There’s no mention of memory loss.
Tons of exterminations and thousands to perhaps millions of weapons made of angel steel left behind. Yet not a single murderous, psychopathic, blood thirsty demon ever tried to or manage to harm an angel with an angel weapon? Possible but highly unlikely.
Lute tearing her arm and Vaggie’s wings off with brute force. Highly likely some demons would’ve thought of such a method a long time ago.
I also find some of the characters their motivations and actions somewhat inconsistent. Seemingly popping in out of nowhere. However this can be attributed to the fact that there wasn’t enough time to build up the characters their actions and motivations.
I’m well aware there can be possible explanations for these instances. However anything not stated by the show is theory and unconfirmed reasoning. Like I said, perhaps season 2 can fix all this.

Like I said, there could be some possible explanations for them. However none of those explanations actually cover anything. No offense dude, but I feel like you aren’t even trying to understand what you’re reading or you’re purposely glossing over info.
Angels were stated to be invincible. Vaggie was then harmed with angel steel. It’s weird she forgot about it. Her not knowing about it beforehand doesn’t change the fact she then gained knowledge that angel steel can harm angels via her eyes getting gouged out. I already mentioned her getting her wings ripped off by lute.
Never said the demons were stupid. Meant the opposite actually. Which begs the question. Why hasn’t a single demon manage to harm an angel with angel steel even after thousands of years. Whether through their own realization or desperation.
Never said Lute was a demon. I mentioned if Lute can tear off her own arm and Vaggie’s wings through brute force, many demons would be capable of the same and would’ve thought of tearing angels apart a long time ago. There’s no statement whatsoever that only angels can physically tear apart another angel. Yet not a single demon in their desperation has done so.

That was never stated. A contradiction to the “invincible angel” statement and an assumption on the fans part. It doesn’t change the fact that Vaggie had forgotten about it.
Not a single one of the millions of demons in their desperation tried in the thousands of years they’ve existed? Highly unlikely. Not all would possess weapons but a lot would. Considering the fact that there has been many exterminations with each ending in thousands of angel weapons being tossed away.
Again they aren’t invincible. Point is that Brute force being able to harm them was never stated and contradicts the invincible angel statement. The demons tearing angels apart is simply one of the many questions that would come up.
Again these explanation attempts are just guess work without a source to back up. Season 2 will have to fix them. Who knows, it might get even more inconsistent. Gonna stop here because this is just going in circles.
