okay let's talk about this hakai.

Things took a slightly different turn than what we had anticipated in the last chapter.
By reading chapter 69

we predict that Cerealian Dragon will not be able to grant Granolah's wish because it will be outside of Dragon's power.
In reality, Dragon Ball Super draws in a HunterXHunter-like scenario where Toronbo (The Cerealian Dragon) can make Granolah the strongest warrior in the Universe in exchange for 147 years of her remaining 150 years.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 70 – Monaito warns Granolah (That he must be stronger)

Chit Chat`

If the Cereal Dragon Gave Him Divine power,
Then he could use an attack that the Gods could use.
As previously mentioned, Goku and Vegeta are the strongest humans in the 7th Universe.
Vegeta is learning how to use Hakai. If Granolah has to surpass him, he needs to use the techniques Vegeta has (like Hakai and Forced Spirit Fission) and use them in a better way than vegeta, here the proof (https://gyazo.com/52cdb821ff83efdbd324f9018bf48bae)

In Dragon Ball Super Chapter 72, Granolah performs a technique that looks quite familiar. It's true that it is Hakai, to be more convincing we will discuss it in the following discussion (https://gyazo.com/961042e38352139be62296860d873f76)

later, This was predicted by Toyotar in chapter 70 by the panel.
Vegeta Uses Hakai on a small rock and we immediately Cut Granolah to Crush the bolder boulder.

The panel seems to suggest Granolah is using a better version of Hakai than Vegeta ( https://gyazo.com/f452cc8618aee5696c78bf603efc05b7 )

First of all, in discussing the argument that I have, I first want to convince you that Gronalah has a Deconstruction Technique (Hakai) This is related to Rebuttal That Hakai is not an Existance Erasure ability.

In my observation, Hakai is not an Existance Erasure ability.
[1] when Gronalah uses this technique (Hakai) The impact given to the surrounding area is only destruction (Scan already above)
[2]We are also shown when dealing with the Hakai technique the only effect it gives is Destruction.

We are also shown when dealing with the Deconstruction (Hakai) technique against Vegeta. The impact that is given is only area destruction & damage to Vegeta's defense.

If the hakai is Existance Erasure, the surrounding area should be erased. Not only destruction remains. Like the scan I've applied ( https://gyazo.com/1f03821ff1c182092e092c3ce25d76c2 ).

Beerus specifically talks about erasing things from existence with the explosion being a byproduct. (I don't have the exact scan atm)
It seems that hakai can be used in two ways, either turning things to dust (as Beerus did to Zamasu, and Vegeta and Granolah to objects) or straight up erasing them and causing an explosion.

It's also possible Vegeta is only erasing parts of the things he hits rather than erasing the entirety. If you hit a rock and erase some of the stone while missing several seperate pieces in the middle, or worse yet only erase tiny slivers of it, it will look like you're fragmenting or violently fragmenting it. It would look like regular destruction.

Edit: what's more, if energy is violently released when it happens, then the things you don't erase will be damaged further and perhaps sent flying, looking even more like regular destruction.

I don't agree with this. It just sounds like Vegeta has unfinished version of Hakai where as in Beerus' case it's definitely Existence Erasure.
We can interpret the statement as an act Stating one of the
example : The severance statement between the two parties was issued three days after the last warning was ignored this is a nonima word that is not necessarily confirmed Thus but different from evidence or scans which we can interpret as something that states the truth example : such as the truth of the Hakai ability which is where we are shown directly without any evidence that is less clear that Hakai is not an Existance Erasure ability but a Deconstruction ability Scan > Statement (Much More Accurate Scan With Truth statement)

Beerus' explanation of the technique makes it clear.

Hakai erases a target from existence; when he does this, it can produce a lot of energy that functions similar to a Ki blast.

The difference being that an ordinary Ki blast shot out from Vegeta uses his own Ki energy to power the explosion. Whereas using Hakai takes advantage of the energy that is released from turning something into nothing.

beerus just flat out says it’s matter -Nothing conversion Instead tho. That’s basically the definition of erasure.

The matter isn’t turning into the energy, energy simply comes out as a byproduct. i Guess it’s an exothermic reaction. Idk.

to me it kinda sounds like beerus just doesn't know what he is talking about fully so he thinks it is matter->nothing with an energy byproduct when it really is
matter->energy
but thats just how I read it

There is no reason to assume beerus doesn’t know how destruction works. He has shown a working knowledge of it, and can teach it to vegeta. I would get it if it were say, goku, but I feel like his position already makes the universes top authority on hakai.

Disagree, Beerus's statement about the Hakai technique is crystal clear and is clear indication of EE.

Disagree for obvious reasons.

It is possible to only destroy a single, small target with Hakai, rather than the entire thing. Beerus can choose to erase Vegeta entirely, erase his entire armor jacket, or only erase a tiny portion of his jacket, leaving the rest of his armor to be blown apart by the ensuing explosion. Nothing in the Existence Erasure page states that the ability has to erase every part of a target in order to qualify; just that they completely erase the part of the target that they do attack.

Beerus explicitly stated that when Matter is turned to Nothing(Hakai,EE) Energy is released hence the aftermath explosion
So no, extra destruction caused by this explosion doesn't discredit Hakai still

Disagree

Yeah, this has been universally rejected. I'll close it now.
