groudon and kyogre upgrade

Primal Groudon and Kyogre Canonically lost a 2v1 against Base Rayquaza
Yeah, but he isn't insanely superior to them to the point where its stomp worthy. The difference between Primal Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza just wouldn’t be as big as the difference between Base Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza

Together, as Primals, they could stop Deoxys' Meteor, if they couldn't, they wouldn't even be 5-B. Groudon and Kyogre only failed because they were handicapped via Archie and Maxie's death

Yeah, but he isn't insanely superior to them to the point where its stomp worthy. It just means the gap between Base Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza is bigger than the gap between Primal Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza
That still means there’s a big gap between them, which makes it weird to scale them to Rayquaza IMO

I mean really, Often times Ray makes them back off just by his sheer appearance

Since Base Groudon and Kyogre were able to give Rayquaza a struggle and fight him for a very prolonged period of time, the gap shouldn't be stomp worthy.

We also don't know much about the Rayquaza and Primal fight. We just know that "Rayquaza's power overwhelmed that of the two Primal Pokémon, and peace returned to the world." So Rayquaza might have struggled to defeat the Primals.

My dude, he overwhelmed both while they were in Primal.
And Primal is played off as >>>>>>> base.

Normal Ray>Both Primals>>One Primal>>>>>Base.

See the issue? By scaling them to his base, you're effectively scaling them to their own super forms.

And the main issue with this is, those above scans mean nothing, they were true back in the day, but not anymore, it's been retconned, the base forms are no longer on par with normal Ray in conjunction, they added a gap between them, that being the super forms, you're using scans that are like 8 years older than the Primals being a thing, of course why your scans did indeed happen, and at the time was enough to scale, but it's simply not the case anymore 🤷‍♂️
