I found out that gravitational wave is often ignored in the calculations, but they can sometimes produce more ideal result, for example, a concentrated gravity wave with high gravitational acceleration can accelerate matter in a small, concentrated area, and reduce the waste energy in some calculations, the generation of a gravitational wave requires gigantic amount of energy in real life, but the calculations for characters with gravity control like traits can include this for better result, it may be very difficult to calculate the precise energy though, requiring calculations based on general relativity.
This kind of calculation isn't necessary when roughly calculating energy, but for things like a planet remaining somewhat intact after a energy release powerful enough to destroy the planet according to calculations, I think it might be more realistic, and it also solves some "energy spread being way too high and will make the effect not like the effect shown in medias" problem.
