But Orochimaru's aura isn't the same thing as nen. Chakra is a combination of spiritual energy and life force whereas nen is just lifeforce. There is no indication that they would be capable of interacting with each other in a complimentary way, such as one being able to block the other.

Naruto didn't block their aura using chakra or used chakra to combat their aura so the point that nen and chakra are different is irrelevant plus they aren't even vastly different anyways. even if the fear is produced differently doesn't mean naruto can't resist them. Lets say we have two characters, Character A and B. Character B can produce flames as hot as the sun, If character A can resist Character B's flames then he'd be able to resist heat as hot as the sun as well. Its the same case here, Both ren and orochimaru's aura produce fear, So if naruto can resist fear from orochimaru's aura then he resists fear from ren as well.

The way its worded in the nen page seems to imply that, I'll wait for more answers. Although if gon does use it in character this is a stomp. I need some explanation for the jajanken shit too, apparently is 500 megatons which is one shotting naruto here. Does it have any notable limitations?

The rule set down by the internal logic of the HxH world is that you need nen to defend against it. This is because you need ten to guard against ren. A characters strength of will that doesn't materialize as nen is irrelevant, otherwise gon would have been able to resist Hisoka's ren. Nen doesn't just produce fear, with enough hostile intent it can affect the physical world as well and, such as with Welf and those three idiots gon and killua fought at heavens arena. It has even been stated that ren can kill a person. Naruto being able to resist fear means nothing.

I agree with the jajanken point it, it is nowhere near as strong as any of Naruto's bigger attacks. I have no idea where they got the stats for it.

Why would naruto need to defend against ren if he resists the effects of it in the first place? If ren is like a bullet and that bullet doesn't do damage and all it does is inflict paralysis, and someone resists paralysis then why would he/she need to defend against the bullet if she can tank it and have no effects?

Yes, but it's also activated before the fight begins and maintained for the duration of the fight by most characters, like Gon.

If exposed to enough malicious ren, your physical body could be damaged. Such as in the case of the first three deformed nen users gon and killua fought. So im assuming it can cause death by just damaging you to a great extent or by inducing a heart attack.

Naruto has comparable AP though, So idk if ren will just auto kill him, Who's the strongest character that gon took out with ren alone?
