According to Toriyama here, he said that Gogeta and Vegito were equals, but who would win in an all out fight?

Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta vs Super Saiyan Blue Vegito

Both are in character and takes place in the TOP Arena, but they can fly

Who wins?

Gogeta.

He take thing much more seriously and was never shown to have the sane "energy drain" weakness like Vegito does.

Assume they only use techniques and fighting styles they have displayed, meaning Vegito can't do what Gogeta can or vice versa.

Vegito is a far more physical, brute, fighter. He likes using powerful physical blows, or utilising techniques that involve his body (like the Spirit Sword extending out of his arm) and also enjoys kicking. His signature technique embellishes his Vegeta-dominant fighting style, with his Final Kamehameha being an insanely powerful, and draining, attack.

Gogeta is more of a Black Mage, he likes spammy projectiles, beams, etc. He also utilises paralysis to deal powerful blows and barriers to parry his opponent's attacks. He definitely prefers fighting at a range and blasting away.

I will be ignoring Blue Evolution and Kaio-Ken, due to their effects on the Fusion timer being unknown and neither character using said power-ups IC.

In full honesty, I give Gogeta the edge. Vegito has a very clear close-range slant in his fighting style, he only has two techniques that are truly ranged and one of them (Final Kamehameha) basically kills his timer and is a finisher technique. Gogeta's ranged style is going to drain out Vegito's timer and make it difficult for him to land any serious blows.

Vegito's predominant edge is stamina, his timer is twice that of Gogeta and gives him far more leeway. Even so, Vegito has defused in both of his appearances whereas Gogeta hasn't defused in his only appearance. Which kind of indicates Gogeta might have more efficient techniques.

Vegito -

  • Close-Mid ranged
  • Only true ranged techniques are Scatter Finger Beam and Final Kamehameha, the latter wastes his timer
  • +Double the timer of Gogeta
  • +Final Kamehameha is going to kill if it lands
  • +Utilises Instant Transmission mid-battle
  • -His techniques are highly inefficient, based on his defusing. Especially Final Kamehameha.
Gogeta -

  • Mid-Long ranged
  • Heavily relies on ranged techniques, having a clear preference for Danmaku
  • +Has strong defensive options in his parry barriers
  • +Paralysis technique can open up the opponent for Full Force Kamehameha or some other powerful blow
  • +Techniques seem to be far more efficient, seeing as he never defused on-screen and remained fuse for his entire fight against Broly
  • +Full Force Kamehameha trades the insane power of Final Kamehameha for efficiency. Gogeta is going to kill Vegito if it lands, most likely, and won't defuse from it.
  • -Fusion timer is half of Vegito's timer. He has less leeway for expensive, powerful, techniques and less time to fight.
I think Gogeta's barriers enable him to defend against Vegito's close-ranged attacks, and Gogeta can finish the fight pretty quickly if he paralyses Vegito and does Full Force Kamehameha. Vegito lacks reasonable conditions to trap Gogeta in a Final Kamehameha, and most of his other attacks are going to be hard-pressed to hit Gogeta through all his spam.

Vegito's only real chance to deal serious blows against Gogeta, is via his Instant Transmission. Gogeta also has it, but he never uses it in battle. Vegito uses IT for instant attacks IC. The issue is that, Gogeta should be able to adapt to and counter Vegito's instant attacks due to Goku being capable of adapting to Time Skip. If Vegito wants to KO Gogeta with an instant attack, it's going to have to be a one-shot miracle.

Overall, I'd give this to Gogeta 7/10 times, maybe 8/10.

How is Vegeto's timer longer than Gogeta when Gogeta hold 30 minutes while Vegeto only hold 5 minute in SSJB ?

The explanation for that is unknown, to memory. It's likely that Vegito defused due to Final Kamehameha rather than using Blue.

Vegito defuse because he uses "too much power" whatever it's blue or Final Kamehameha doesn't matter, this weakess remains with Vegito even in DBH while Gogeta has NEVER shown such weakness outside of GT.

Gogeta has this. His style is far more practical than Vegito with his barriers, spamming ki blasts, and decisive blows not to mention he takes things more seriously. Gogeta will likely give Vegito no time to breath to close the gap between them and even if he does he should be able to fight back Vegito in close range.

Gogeta 8/10

Vegetto wins due to having more time.

Vegetto defused because he was fighting someone who could infinitely increase in strength and was immortal, making it impossible to gauge the power needed to harm or destroy said foe.

They are the same person, capable of using the same techniques. Fighting styles, personality and strategies are totally dependent on who they are facing, not an intrinsic characteristic of their characters. If Gogeta changes to mid-range, Vegetto will too and vice-versa.

Except he doesn't have more time, he defused because in SSJB and using strong attack, something that isn't an issue for Gogeta as far as we know.

Both fusions are created by the fusees of the same people in a different way, yet according to Toriyama, they are now equals so it all depends on their personality and fighting styles. (Also I'm gonna assume their fusion time limit is null and void here).

Fighting Style I'm not gonna go too deep on as there is no point. Both are fusions of Goku and Vegeta and both share their similar traits so their fighting style should relatively the same. Whatever one tactic one fusion uses, the other will just counter in a similar way. So it call comes down their personalitites and how they approach their opponent.

Vegito is very cocky and tends to play with his opponent, not taking anything seriously. Like he did to Super Buu and Fusion Zamasu, he just messed with them fooling around mocking them, then later tries to take them down. (He although had a good reason with Super Buu).

Gogeta is different. In his fight with Broly, he wasn't messing around and use whatever tactics he could come up with to take him down. Not once he did fool around. He was focused on the fight and was just completely demolishing Broly until Broly ascended into Full Power Super Saiyan and he responded immediately by going into SSB. And although non canon, during his fight with Janemba is also a good reason. He wasn't messing arround and was just overwhelming him with various ki blasts and attacks before finishing him off with a Stardust breaker.

Due to all of this, I give Gogeta the slight edge, take Gogeta down 5-6/10 times in my opinion.
