After a long while, we've finally managed to come around to revising the God of War series generally. Without further ado;
Because of the above information, this also means everyone has their lifting strength changed from Infinite to Immeasurable outright, as Atlas and Hercules would effectively be lifting up separate space-time continuums (The realms cannot be physically travelled in between, and changing the past of one realm will not change the past or future of other realms, and in the case of the Underworld, changing its will not change its own future even).

Disagree:
Neutral:
- The Gods, Titans and Primordials get Self-Sustenance Types 1, 2 and 3
- Type 1:
- Ares’ dimension is able to easily hold a swirling galaxy in the background with countless stars in the background to accompany the galaxy and Kratos can survive in it with little issue.
- Primordial War which happened in an empty void that predated all of creation.
- The battle between Cronos and Uranus was cosmic in scale as per Word of God and would’ve undeniably been fought in outer space.
- Types 2 and 3 because as the God of War, Kratos has no need to eat, drink or sleep (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18) and this applies to the other gods as well. Kratos would retain this after the events of the Greek Saga as he now only eats to satiate his appetite and due to the fact that he tried killing himself via starvation, but it didn’t work. Kratos also states in God of War: Ragnarök that Gods do not nap.
- Hyperion would get Resistance to Extreme Heat and Pressure because of being able to stay in the Sun’s core with no issue as that is where he forged his spear) and Special Type of Breathing for being able to breathe in hydrogen and helium.
- Type 1:
- Resistance to Cosmic Radiation.
- Ceto punched a whole universe out of Uranus’s face and was completely fine. Uranus’s body is littered with countless stars. The fighting of the Primordials also spawned galaxies.
- Cronos: He fought against his own father Uranus in a battle of cosmic scale, which would undoubtedly expose them to lethal amounts of radiation.
- Hyperion: Had forged a cosmos-bearing spear in the core of the Sun.
- Helios: Regularly fights with Nyx and banishes her from the night sky.
- Atlas: Unharmed by Helios’ powers in any manner, shape or form.
- Kratos and Ares: Ares transported Kratos to a dimension with a galaxy and countless stars in the background and was essentially unharmed. Ares would scale in tandem.
- Cronos gets Low-Mid regeneration based on these timeline scans (Original source here), as he had his stomach sliced open during the Great War, from which he then healed.
- Zeus resists Precognition as per this scan from the GOW3 Ultimate Edition Strategy Guide.
- Kratos gets Supernatural Willpower for two reasons.
- Kratos is still able to make his way to the Blade of Olympus despite the massive internal damage he received to himself from the Colossus (GOW2 game and GOW2 Novel Chapter 6). And despite being rendered powerless and mortal, he was still able to press on, determined as ever, to get the Blade of Olympus and regain his Godly Powers back.
- Kratos straight up developed a will of his own that allowed him to easily brush off his Thread of Fate being cut, which normally should’ve crippled him right then and there, and killed him. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 46)
- He is able to withstand the brutal torture of the Furies for 3 whole weeks during the full plot of GoW Ascension, and he is able to not only free himself from their influence but is also able to kill them and free his bond from Ares.
- Additionally, he can shrug off wounds that would normally instantly kill lesser mortals (GOW2 Novel Chapter 29).
- Uranus gets Enhanced Senses and Cosmic Awareness for being able to hear everythingwithin his universe.
- Gaia gets Interdimensional Travel via the scan above for traveling to a domain outside of Uranus’s ears. And of course, Hyperion has Interdimensional travel via Hyperion Gates, a completely separate thing.
- All Titans and Gods get Enhanced Senses, as it is showcased by various gods such as Poseidon (GOW1 Novel Chapter 2), Ares (GOW1 Novel Chapter 12 and in the game when he immediately senses Kratos finding Pandora’s Box), Athena(GOW1 Novel Chapter 4) and so on. Additionally, everyone has the capability to hear prayers from afar much like her.
- Further justification for Enhanced Senses, plus Extrasensory Perception and Resistance to Illusion Creation because of the statement in the Path to Eos in God of War 3, that those who see what the Gods see will find their way to Olympus, which involves using Helios’ head to nullify illusions that block pathways, uncovering hidden items, and uncovering plus decoding the murals in the room containing Pandora’s Box that reveal some interesting lore tidbits about the Pantheon. Athena also has a feat of being able to sense Hades’ dark presence (God of War 2 Novel Chapter 1).
- While Kratos would obviously have this ability due to being a God (Being able to hear prayers and all, and other creatures, and the “seeing what the Gods see” thing), he would also in turn upscale from his Norse self, who himself has Enhanced Senses as per this pagefrom The Art of God of War 2018 (PAGE 42). Kratos also has a few feats of his own even without his Godly powers in God of War 2, like:
- Having fought against Gorgons while keeping his eyes shut, using only his hearing to accurately judge distances and jump over Gorgons to kill them, all while no longer being Olympian Tier (This is just prior to him gaining the powers of the Titans) (GOW2 Novel Chapter 16).
- Sensing the energy of the Spear of Destiny and just how deadly it was moments before it was used against him (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18).
- Able to sense the power flow of the Spear of Destiny yet again (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18).
- Kratos being able to sense Theseus’s magical attacks (GOW2 Novel Chapter 21).
- Kratos sensing the presence of Lahkesis’s reddish apparition (GOW2 Chapter 42).
- Kratos being able to sense the presence of another person and being able to fight the Last Spartan in the dark even before the latter utters his words “I HAVE COME TOO FAR TO FAIL!” (GOW2 Novel Chapter 44).
- All the Gods and Titans get Abstract Existence Type 2 for embodying the affinity they represent. They are empowered by their domains, aware of all that transpires within said domain and the gods' existence keeps them in check.
- Megaera gets Biological Manipulation via her Parasites, which easily mutated normal humans on contact, and visibly mutated Aegaeon the Hecatonchires’ arm and face. And Kratos would gain Resistance to Biological Manipulation this way because these parasites can’t do anything to him no matter how they proceed to attack him.
- Blood Manipulation, Life Manipulation and Shockwave Generation for Kratos via Hilt of Tyrfing (Relic in action).
- Demigod Kratos should have Type 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 Immortality negation for killing undead creatures, creatures that can survive fatal wounds, those that can resurrect like the hel creatures and others, and being able to kill parasites and remove their possession-like immortality from their hosts easily.
- Kratos gets Weapon Creation with all Berserker Hilts except for Skofnung (Skofnung’s Hilt has the blade intact).
- Kratos gets Curse and Statistics Reduction in Norse key for having Ivaldi's curse, which has this.
- Kratos resists Curse Manipulation in his Norse key for resisting Ivaldi's curse with equipment. It scales alongside Kratos’s natural ability to resist all of Hades’ abilities, among them being Curse Manipulation, stemming from the Energy of Tartarus.
- Kratos gets passive Madness Manipulation for having the blessings of the Valkyries with his armor, one of them can drive people insane with her presence.
- Sigrun and all Valkyries resist Ivaldi's Curse for being in the cursed mist with no problem, which makes them resist Curse Manipulation and Statistics reduction.
- Danmaku for Typhon’s Bane as per this scan (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18). It also gets Homing Attacks as per this.
- Sigrun shares every single ability the other Valkyries have.
- Sigrun gets Curse Manipulation via this (Cursing her own brother).
- Danmaku for Typhon’s Bane as per this scan (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18)
- Fear Zeus (And possibly Base Zeus, in limited form) gets Empathic Manipulation for being able to control the Great Evils- Fear, Greed, Hate, Envy, Misery and Deceit, Gluttony and Sloth, Lust and Vanity, Mischief and Rage. Fear Zeus would obviously get this because of literally being Fear Incarnate.
- Fear Zeus also gets Mind Manipulation because he literally brute-forced into Kratos’s mind to completely destroy any remnants of whatever consciousness lingered within him.
- The Flames of Olympus get Power Nullification, Immortality Negation (Types 1, 2, 3 and 5) as well as Regeneration Negation (At least Low-Mid) and Curse Negation, seeing as it will kill both man and god on contact, and it even killed Pandora, a being who is neither dead nor alive. The weaker Fires of Olympus also killed Prometheus, who was cursed to be eternally healed after being eaten by a bird, and he had his innards healed every time, but once he fell into the fire, he got burnt to ash and died. Which means Zeus gets all of it with the Blade of Zeus.
- The Power of Hope on the other hand, gets all of that, plus Immortality Type 4 Negation, and Resistance to all of it: Power Null, Immortality Negation (Types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8) and Regeneration Negation (At least Low-Mid), because it negated Fear Zeus’s ability to resurrect by literally driving fear out of him, and because it’s superior in potency to the Flame of Olympus, which in turn is superior to the Fires of Olympus. Only Hope can fight Hope, as seen when Kratos channeled it through the Blade of Olympus to then stab himself and give Hope to mankind.
- Zeus gets Breath Attack via this. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 11)
- Zeus gets Necromancy for cursing the first person to enter pandora's temple to live forever as a zombie to burn the bodies of those who failed. (GOW1 Novel chapter 16)
- Zeus gets Forcefield Creation as per this section of his fight with Kratos
- All the Gods get Energy Manipulation and Projection via being able to will themselves into Energy as per this scan(GOW1 Novel Chapter 26).
- Not only that, all Gods of War have Energy Manipulation and Energy Projection as well, especially in the case of Kratos, where after Zeus absorbed his powers and transferred it into the Colossus of Rhodes (GOW2 Novel Chapter 3), the gigantic statue was capable of making gigantic cracks into the ground that erupted with blue potent energy, and then it was able to blast out energy out of its broken left arm as well, and remember, all of this energy is actually Kratos’s energy and life-force stolen from him by Zeus (GOW2 Novel Chapter 6), the statue was literally imbued with his powers. This would, of course, scale in tandem to Ares as well, as this is Kratos’s own energy and life-force.
- All Gods of War have Cosmic Awareness for all future wars as per this scan (GOW1 Novel Epilogue)
- All Gods have Invisibility and Size Manipulation (GOW1 Novel Chapter 4)
- Athena gets Concept Manipulation Type 1, Non-Physical Interaction and Summoning for having summoned Hope and then placed it in Pandora’s Box alongside the Evils as a failsafe.
- More evidence of Gaia’s Earth Manipulation (Also GOW2 Novel Chapter 17)
- Flight for Hermes (GOW2 Novel Chapter 17)
- Attack Reflection for Hermes as he once had the Golden Fleece with him. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 32)
- Animal Manipulation for Zeus. He can bind animals to others no matter where they go. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 17)
- Blade of Olympus gets Deconstruction back alongside its Durability Negation Feat (This). Zeus selectively reduces the entire Spartan Army to embers, bypassing their armor and also not harming any buildings in the process, focusing the Blade’s wave explicitly on the Spartans themselves.
- Kratos has his “Some form of Magic Dispelling” replaced with “Magic Negation, Reality Warping Negation and Illusion Negation with the Eyes of Truth”
- Kratos has his Resurrection description in his Power of Hope key changed to being that as long as Hope exists, Kratos will keep coming back to life. He does not need other aspects of his physical or non-physical self, but rather it’s the other way around. As Stig Asumussen, the main director of GOW3, himself stated that when Fear Zeus killed him, only a consciousness of sorts remained, but once Kratos got access to Hope, his soul was brought back and he was fully revived back to life.
- A small brief paragraph on how souls in general in GOW work, a soul has four parts: Form, Mind, Direction and Luck (Mimir’s statement applies as a whole for all pantheons, since he made no mention of it being exclusively a Norse thing). A soul effectively constitutes whether a being can live on or die. However, if you lose the Direction aspect of the soul that prevents you from taking a path to any of the afterlives (For example, the Light of Alfheim, Valhalla or Folkvangr), then the remaining parts that constitute a soul effectively cease to exist, as is the case with Brok, because he already died once and Sindri only brought him back with 3 out of 4 parts (Yes, no Direction). Once Odin killed him for the last time, Brok was effectively finished. No afterlife for him, his soul effectively ceases to exist, there’s nothing left to bring back. Kratos here as per the above case doesn’t even have a soul to begin with when he was attacked by Fear Zeus, he was done in even worse than Brok. But Hope changed all of that.
- So basically, anybody who can mess around with souls would also end up having Mind Manipulation and Memory Manipulation (Mind aspect, affecting even one part of the soul causes the entire being and their memory to suffer) and Probability Manipulation (Luck aspect). Form represents the concept of your existence, and Direction granting Vector Manipulation as it's part of what makes Vectors in the first place. Thor vs Laufey splitting a soul comes to mind (Which would give their weapons Soul Manipulation, Mind Manipulation and Memory Manipulation, as it fragmented the memories of the deceased souls and split said souls into two parts). Poseidon’s Electric Powers can destroy both the body and spirit (Including incorporeal Wraiths) completely. There is also Fear Zeus completely destroying Kratos’s Soul, and Hades in general being able to manipulate, absorb, crush, control, and cleave souls.
- Some additional justification for Kratos resisting the power of the Sisters of Fate here (GOW2 Novel Chapter 8)
- Artemis gets NPI via this (GOW1 Novel Chapter 22).
- Kratos gets a better description for Weapon Control and Chain Manipulation for both Greek keys and his Norse Key. He can manipulate the chains of his Blades of Chaos and extend them to whatever length he wants, he can even detach the chains from the blades at will without having them dangling down 24/7, as seen when he wields the blades against Ares, tosses aside the Blades of Exile to beat Zeus to death with his bare hands, and again in GOW Ragnarok where he puts down the blades without any chains attached to them, and the Leviathan Axe. He has also shown this skill while wielding the Claws of Hades and the Nemesis Whip, being able to control their trajectories and their movements (Like Tormenting Lash and all the other combos of the Nemesis Whip)
- Kratos with Rage gets Attack Nullification, Healing, Statistics Amplification (Via Valor Rage, but his Rage being divided into Three Playsets is merely game mechanics as it’s still part of Kratos’s overall Rage), Purification (It nullifies all status effects on him, including elementals, poison, petrification, Bifrost and many others) and with an enchantment he gets further Life Absorption.
- Danmaku for Typhon’s Bane (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18)
- Abilities for Spear of Destiny:
- Soul Manipulation: Gaia warns Kratos that if he falls at the Rider’s Spear, his shade (Soul) is forfeit for all eternity. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18)
- Sense Manipulation: The Spear was powerful enough to warp Kratos’s senses (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18)
- Explosion Manipulation, Energy Manipulation, Crystal Manipulation, Transmutation and Durability Negation as per this scan (Can turn enemies purple and then make them explode after a short period)
- Gaia has Astral Projection (GOW2 Novel Chapter 20)
- Kratos’s statements of being the perfect warrior from GOW1 and being fashioned by Ares and the Furies to tear down the very walls of Olympus itself in GOW Ascension should be added. Him being praised by both Athena and the Sisters to be a warrior without equal, to be second to none (Both being from the GOW2 Novel), should also be added.
- Barbarian Hammer gets Energy Manipulation/Projection and Shockwave Creation via this scan, Portal Creation via this scan, Soul Absorption, further Statistics Amplification and Empowerment via this scan (Sources: All of them are from the GOW2 Official Strategy Guide by Brady)
- Kratos gets Shockwave Generation and Status Effect Inducement with the Leviathan Axe via Hel’s Touch
- Draupnir gets the following abilities:
- Energy Manipulation, Projection and Absorption (Via Siphon. It can absorb the enemy’s energy source, and it even grants its wielder enhanced resistance to said energy types, which should coincide with Reactive Evolution)
- Elemental Manipulation (As shown above, via Siphon, it can also absorb elements like fire, ice and electricity to use against enemies)
- Duplication (Can be replicated infinitely, being able to use upto 8 is game mechanics)
- Explosion Manipulation
- Wind Manipulation/Aerokinesis
- Shockwave Generation
- Status Effect Inducement
- Resistance Negation (After the energy type is absorbed, the enemy you absorbed it from has their resistance to said energy or elemental reduced greatly)
- Barbarian Hammer gets:
- Further justification for Zeus having Accelerated Development, he takes a massive beatdown from GOW3 Hades-Soul Amped Kratos in the first stage of the final boss fight and gets pinned, only to come back even stronger (GOW3 Ultimate Strategy Guide Page 209).
- Kratos gets Shockwave Generation and Status Effect Inducement with the Leviathan Axe via Hel’s Touch
- Kratos resists Conceptual Manipulation Type 2 and Space-Time Manipulation for tanking claws and bites from Garm, who's able to eat the 5th season of the year and the word for when you're so hungry you stop being hungry, and can create Realm Tears easily.
- Kratos resists possession in his Norse key for having a charm that lets him fend off Nightmares, who possess others.
- Surtr gets Life manipulation for his cinders creating life.
- All the Gods of Olympus including Kratos himself, get Resistance to Disease Manipulation for being basically unaffected by the plagues released by the death of Hermes that killed off the rest of the Greek World.
- Fear Zeus gets Statistics Reduction for being able to bring down Kratos’s abilities to zero before promptly snapping his neck.
- Increase in Magic increases Spell Potency as per this (GOW1 Chapter 12 Intro).
- Arms of Hades have Deconstruction as per this scan of dissolving the stone flooring on contact (GOW2 Novel Chapter 9)
- On top of already having Madness Manip, Sirens get Body Puppetry via this, Death Manipulation and Sound Manipulation via this, and Empathic Manipulation via this, and Kratos resists all of the above due to his nightmares and sheer rage (GOW1 Novel Chapter 15, all the scans). More evidence of their Body Puppetry and Kratos resisting it here(GOW2 Novel Chapter 21)
- In case I don’t have to tell you, Zeus would also automatically resist these due to what happens in GoW2’s final boss fight.
- Given that the Primordials are Type 1 Abstract Existence beings due to being the literal embodiments of the aspects of what they represent, predating the entirety of the Greek World and being completely independent of the reality they govern, said reality being the Greek World itself (Because they are the ones who created it all), they also get Acausality Type 4, they existed before time itself was born with Cronos, and like their Olympian descendants, also have different rules of time and place working for them.
- Gaia as a result also gets Concept Manipulation Type 1 and Abstract Existence Type 1 for her true form (Because duh, she’s a Primordial-turned-Titan, and she’s the Earth personified, she also no longer has a physical form), and Type 2 for her physical form.
- Yggdrasil gets Acausality Type 4 because it also predates all of time and reality, having existed even before Ginnungagap, the void that preceded all of Creation before the Primordial Forces of Fire and Ice joined to form Ymir, time was young at the time of his birth. The concepts of life, death, rebirth, time and space, are nothing more than mere parts of Yggdrasil, the tree sustains them and their existence).
- Yggdrasil has its Nonexistent Physiology removed completely. The current artbook scan used to justify it is merely talking about how they brought a non-physical object to physical reality.
- The Light of Alfheim is the power source of the Bifrost, it keeps the 9 Realms separate from each other and also transcends all that exist within the 9 Realms (GOW2018 Novel Chapter 18). It is also where all souls return to and become one with (Souls that aren’t humans or gods specifically). It has been so since the creation of the 9 Realms. The Light itself however, is far older than Odin himself (and thus the majority of the Nine Realms), and the Light itself will drive weaker minds completely insane before incinerating them and returning them to the light. Of course, Kratos and Freyr (Though he was as high as a kite) are not of weaker minds. They are the only ones who have survived the Light of Alfheim.
- This would give the Light of Alfheim 4-D Soul Manipulation as it has existed far longer than the 9 Realms and has kept even the Primordial Realms separate before the other Realms came to fruition, even transcending them in a case so to speak. In case it wasn’t blatant enough, it would also have Time Manipulation as it heavily distorts time inside of it to anyone who enters, as Kratos stated multiple times that he only felt moments pass whereas Atreus on the outside had to haul ass for quite a long time against the elves before being forced to save his Father, as he states twice in a row.
- This would also give the Light of Alfheim Mind Manipulation, Madness Inducement, Soul Manipulation and Deconstruction, as it will literally drive weaker minds insane and will incinerate them right afterwards, Freyr and Kratos are the only survivors
- Ironically, this would cause Kratos’s Soul to have higher-dimensional soul resistance, and it would consequently scale to Hades’ powers as well, as he vainly attempted to pull GoW3 Kratos’s soul out, however, this in turn would also massively amplify the Soul-related Resistances of both Hercules, against whom the Claws don’t work, and especially Zeus, as Kratos even with Hades’ Soul inside of him couldn’t even penetrate them using the Claws of Hades.
- Kratos finally gets another feat for Accelerated Development and Reactive Evolution against Heimdall, who is armed with Precognition and Mind Reading and Foresight, where initially he is unable to land any hits even after the first stunning with Draupnir (Because Heimdall recovers way too quickly), but as the fight progresses further, Kratos eventually overwhelms Heimdall and lands a proper hit on him.
- All the Titans and Gods get Acausality Type 1 as per this (GOW2 Novel Chapter 7), and Cronos being visibly unaffected by changes in the past caused by Kratos (He remembers Kratos opening Pandora’s Box and killing Ares with it) when he teleports everyone to the future (Including Atlas as per the Novel), especially Perspephone, because she's still very, very dead, Helios remembers Kratos saving him from Atlas, and Cronos' loss is still recorded, and the Mortal World is still being held up by Atlas. Not only that, the present Underworld is also unaffected by changes to the past, as the plaque in GOW3 to Tartarus still notes of the Olympians’ overwhelming victory against the Titans as if Kratos never intervened to begin with, that and Thera would never have been freed to destroy Atlantis in Ghost of Sparta, but Poseidon still laments and angrily shouts in GOW3 that Atlantis will be avenged. They would also get Acausality Type 4 as per this scan(GOW1 Novel Epilogue), where it blatantly states that time and place are different for the Gods.
- Gaia on the other hand as per the above scan, has her Acausality Type 1 for her physical form (Because she held herself back to the laws of time as it was important to the mortals) and Acausality Type 4 for her true form as per the above scan, while her physical form has Type 1 Acausality, because her physical form was stripped away, and she holds herself back to abide by the laws of time because it’s oh so precious and important to the short-lived mortals. That and she existed before Cronos’s birth which led to the creation of time itself.
- Kratos has his Acausality description changed to changing the entire loop of him traveling to the Island of Fate which he was mandated to undergo in every single timeline for GOW3 to exist as per these tweets by Bruno, but Kratos royally screws it up after shoving aside Zeus and saving Sparta, while remaining unchanged himself and retaining all the Titan Power-ups and the Rage of the Titans, despite effectively erasing the destruction of Sparta, the death of the Last Spartan, and robbing himself of the need to kill anyone or obtain any of the power-ups of the Titans. Him retaining the Titan Power Ups is also confirmed by Zeus himself in the game and in the novel (GOW2 Novel Chapter 49). He’d also scale to Type 4 Acausality as per the above reasoning.
- The Blades of Chaos have Primordial Fires in them (Specifically, the fires of Chaos and Tartarus) as per Surtr and the GOW1 Novel (Chapter 18). Because of this, they would get Chaos Manipulation and Holy Manipulation, as Chaos herself was responsible for birthing the Primordial Fire, which in turn birthed all other Fires in the Greek Pantheon, serves as the power source of Helios, and also serves as the life-giving light of the Greek World that keeps Morpheus’s ass out from conquering the Mortal World with his darkness and then merging the Mortal World and his Realm of Dreams into one.
- Heimdall and Kratos get Space-Time Manipulation via Realm Shift, in its description, it is stated verbatim to distort space and time itself. Realm Shift in general involves shifting entire realms themselves, and the Sap of Yggdrasil alone can shift time itself. And Kratos resists and overpowers it without any prior experience (Kratos already resisted Space-Time Manipulation in his fights with Nidhogg and Garm, both of whom can tear holes through the fabric of the realms with their claws and physical attacks alone). Kratos also resists Heimdall’s Precognition and Telepathy here, which is a stark upgrade over resisting Atreus’s own Telepathy (Lore and Legends Page 7). Heimdall also resists Realm Shift as it is completely useless against him in a fight.
- Atlas gets Immunity to Soul Manipulation as he doesn’t need a soul at all to survive (It got ripped out by Hades), and Resistance to Extreme Heat, he literally has lava flowing all over him from his palm and wrists, to his innards and the only thing he gives in reply is a sigh of disgust and boredom. He also has large sections of his body mutilated and cut out (The puzzles inside his shoulder in which you have to move his meat-bone blocks out and about to progress further up his arm), yet he is visibly unaffected by all of this, so he also gets Resistance to Pain Manipulation on top if the lava alone doesn’t qualify for that, all the sources for that here. Also an incredibly insane stamina feat. He also gets Resistance to Electricity Manipulation and Deconstruction since he survived Poseidon’s electricity blasts for an extended duration before Hades finally stole his soul.
- Kratos seemingly resists death via having sex with Aphrodite’s twin daughters Zora and Lora whereas everyone else just… died under mysterious circumstances. (GOW1 Novel Chapter 5)
- Wraiths get Incorporeality via this, and Kratos can interact with and kill them (GOW1 Novel Chapter 6)
- The Furies should straight up get Creation as they can forge stuff that is visibly real and can be physically touched, so they get both Illusion Creation and overall Creation. They also get Madness Manipulation Type 2 as they can drive their victims into complete insanity if Archimedes is anything to go by.
- Ares and Zeus get Limited Sound Manipulation as their voices can shake the heavens (GOW1 Novel Chapter 9) and the foundations of the world respectively (GOW2 Novel Chapter 49). The other gods are capable of doing the same (Using their voices to extremes), but not to as extreme ranges as Ares and Zeus.
- Blades of Chaos get Statistics Amplification as it increases stats with every kill (GOW1 Novel Chapter 8)
- Ares gets Regeneration Negation via these two scans (GOW1 Novel CHAPTER 8)
- Ares’ Fire is stronger than the Blades of Chaos’s fire, thus it can harm Kratos despite the latter being unharmed by the BoC’s fire (GOW1 Novel Chapter 8)
- The Sisters of Fate get Acausality Type 2 since they only exist in the present and are dead across all periods in time as per this excerpt (GOW2 Novel Chapter 49)
- Underwater Breathing (Type 2; via Poseidon's power)
- Scans for Persephone’s Mind Manipulation and Mental BFR (GOW Chains of Olympus Brady Guide)
- Spells in God of War increase in potency with more magic being poured into them (GOW1 Chapter 12)
- Undead Legionnaires have Type 2 Immortality as per this scan (GOW1 Novel Chapter 6)
- Greek Kratos gets access to all abilities of Hades via the Claws of Hades because he ripped out and absorbed his soul and by extension his powers and rank of a god as well (Hades’s own words that absorbing souls only makes him stronger), and that he needs the Claws to maintain control of Hades’s soul and that of all the other trapped souls as per Bruno Velazquez’s words (Said souls being forever lost when Fear Zeus smacked Kratos and destroyed all his equipment, including the Claws of Hades, in the end of GoW3. The GoW3 Ultimate Edition Brady Guide in Page 28 also states that the Claws grant Kratos power over souls)
- All masters of Seidr magic get resistance to Soul Manipulation and Corruption Type 2 thanks to the numerous statements of Seidr causing corruption and affecting one's soul (GOW Lore and Legends Page 48). They would also get Intangibility and potentially Incorporeality through slipping between sheets of reality (GOW Lore and Legends Page 97).
- Anyone adept with Vanir magic will get Low-Godly Healing and Purification Type 2 as it's stated by Freya that through Vanir magic, the Valkyries were able to restore to their corporeal forms from their soul and uncorrupted.
- Helios gets Illusion Negation, Intangibility Negation and Invisibility Negation, as Kratos with his head has these abilities already.
- "Kratos gets Weapon Creation with all Berserker Hilts except for Skofnung (Skofnung’s Hilt has the blade intact)" gets replaced with "Kratos gets Weapon Creation with all Hilts". Skofnung can actually remove its blade and then reform it again when used.
- Kratos has AoE Nullification and Redirection with Shatter Star Shield.
- Zeus gets Forcefield Creation as per this section of his fight with Kratos.
- Zeus gets Aura as per this scan (GOW2 Novel Chapter 49).
- Zeus gets access to all of Kratos' innate powers thanks to the Blade of Olympus having his powers inside of it (First scan is GOW2 Novel Chapter 6. Second scan is GOW2 Novel Chapter 49)
- All Gods have Invisibility and Size Manipulation (GOW1 Novel Chapter 4). Another example of Gods granting here where Hermes grants Perseus his Helmet of Invisibility (GOW2 Novel Chapter 35) (Ya missed Hermes' Helmet being given to Perseus)
- Sisters of Fate gain some new powers:
- Lightning Manipulation: Lahkesis can manipulate Green Lightning
- Soul Manipulation: Lahkesis can destroy souls with her staff (GOW 2 Novel chapter 47)
- Empathic Manipulation: Via being able to make even the ugly Pan irresistible to the Nymphs (GOW2 Novel Chapter 2)
- Life Manipulation: Not only do they control the fates of all living things and geographies, they also forge the life threads for each new being being born (GOW2 Novel Chapter 2)
- Astral Projection: As per this (GOW2 Official Strategy Guide By Brady)
- Age Manipulation and further justification for Death Manipulation: The Sisters can make appropriate marks on the Threads of Fate to control the lifespan of a person by increasing or decreasing their age, or prematurely killing them by cutting their thread too short (GOW2 Novel Chapter 5). They can also snap the threads with intent to kill (GOW2 Novel Chapter 36)
- Biological Manipulation: The Sisters can control the Threads of Fate to even modify the physiological appearance of living beings, like deciding where a mortal’s legs and feet would be (GOW2 Novel Chapter 5)
- Disease Manipulation: The Sisters love playing around with diseases and inflicting them on Mortals (GOW2 Novel Chapter 5)
- Earth Manipulation: The Sisters sunk a continent just for the hell of it (GOW2 Novel Chapter 5), yet again they state to do this for a living (GOW2 Novel Chapter 42)
- Some additional justification for Death Manipulation, Causality Manipulation, Probability Manipulation, and Resurrection: They can easily cause wars to erupt at the slightest of vibrations on the threads (GOW2 Novel Chapter 2). They can easily create brand new possibilities on the Threads on a whim (GOW2 Novel Chapter 5). They have the power to resurrect the dead members of the Titan Race, change outcomes of wars and even decree when a person will die (GOW2 Novel Chapter 8). They can easily create whatever outcomes they wish for their mortal and God subjects just by slight tugs and strokes on their Threads of Fate (GOW2 Novel Chapter 10). They also regularly detect vibrations in said threads and will counter them with their own to produce their own desired outcome for their subjects (GOW2 Novel Chapter 13). Their tinkering with Iris’s fate caused dissension on Olympus as a side-effect (GOW2 Novel Chapter 17). To disrupt the Loom of Life that contains the Threads of Fate, would be to effectively free mankind from their bondage to destiny (GOW2 Novel Chapter 48), thus rightfully earning him the moniker of the Destroyer of Fate.
- Sleep Manipulation - The Sisters can even wake people up by again tugging their threads (GOW2 Novel Chapter 10)
- Magma Manipulation: They can even control aspects of geography however they like, like causing the eruption of a volcano and controlling its lava flow via the threads that they themselves weave (GOW2 Novel Chapter 8)
- Homing Attack for Atropos via this. (GOW 2 Novel Chapter 47)
- Soul Manipulation, Summoning and Necromancy: Atropos can not only deliver souls to Hades personally (GOW2 Novel Chapter 8), she can even summon soldiers from the Underworld to do her bidding (GOW2 Official Strategy Guide By Brady). Clotho also shows this by summoning gorgons and other creatures (GOW 2 Novel chapter 48)
- Based on the above, Kratos would gain Resistance to Life Manipulation, Death Manipulation, Age Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, Disease Manipulation, Sleep Manipulation, Probability Manipulation and Causality Manipulation, as directly affecting the Threads (Even tugging them ever so slightly) lead to the above effects. Kratos straight up resisted having his Thread cut off so it’s a complete non-issue for him. In general he should also get resistance to all their space-time hax (stop and slow) because he isn't affected by it. Proof:- When the jewel in Lakhesis' forehead is triggered, Kratos isn't affected.
- The Amulet of Ouroborus gets Retrocognition, Precognition and Clairvoyance via upscaling from the Gem of Ouroborus, as explained in the Ascension Graphic novel- Rise of The Warrior (Which can see both the past and the future, and also reveal and exploit weaknesses). Kratos gets Resistance for the same.
- Most of the main bosses (Furies, Sisters of Fate, Hercules and Zeus) get Resistance to Kratos’s abilities and equipment
- The Furies get Resistance to Lightning of Zeus (Electricity Manip), Soul of Hades (Soul Manip, Power Null, Transmutation), Ice of Poseidon (Ice Manip) and Amulet of Uroboros (Resistance to Age Manip, Time Manip, Time Slow and Telekinesis. They don’t resist Time Stop)
- Erinys, Deimos and Thanatos get Resistance to Ice Manipulation from Horn of Boreas, and Resistance to Poseidon’s Powers for being able to resist the Eye (Electricity Manipulation, Soul Destruction and Deconstruction)
- The Sisters of Fate get Resistance to the powers of Euryale (Petrification), Rage of Cronos and their own Green Energy powers (GOW2 Novel Chapter 47) (Both are Lightning Manipulation)
- Statistics Reduction, Energy Absorption and Power Nullification, via Resisting Cronos’s Rage, thanks to his Rage absorbing the High Priest's energy (GOW 2 Novel Chapter 35)
- Hercules gets Resistance to pretty much all of Hades’ Abilities (Claws of Hades) and Petrification via its Soul Summoning Ability summoning Gorgons, and Chimeras (Acid Manip and Poison Manip)
- Zeus gets Resistance to pretty much all of Kratos’s abilities from the Head of Euryale (Petrification), Claws of Hades (All the abilities of Hades himself, as well as the abilities of the Gorgons, Chimeras and Sirens, the Claws are completely useless against Zeus), and the Titans’ powers, as he can resist Cronos' rage with ease (GOW2 Novel Chapter 49), as well as his own lightning abilities (Referring to Zeus resisting his own powers. This would include Electricity Manipulation and Power Null) when they get reflected right back at him by the Golden Fleece (You know, when Kratos reflects back Zeus’s bolts right back at him)
- In case you haven’t noticed in the above cases, this would also mean Kratos too is able to resist pretty much anything Hades can dish out at him with the Claws of Hades.
- Abilities for Spear of Destiny:
- Soul Manipulation: Gaia warns Kratos that if he falls at the Rider’s Spear, his shade (Soul) is forfeit for all eternity. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18). Shades and souls are the same thing (GOW2 Novel Chapter 44)
- Sense Manipulation: The Spear was powerful enough to warp Kratos’s senses (GOW2 Novel Chapter 18)
- (POSSIBLY) Fate Manipulation and likely all of the Sisters of Fate's abilities: Can interact with the threads of fate itself and grant Kratos freedom of the Sisters of Fate's control. (GOW 2 Novel chapter 48)
- Explosion Manipulation, Energy Manipulation, Crystal Manipulation, Transmutation and Durability Negation as per this scan (Can turn enemies purple and then make them explode after a short period)
- (POSSIBLY) Fate Manipulation and likely all of the Sisters of Fate's abilities: Can interact with the threads of fate itself and grant Kratos freedom of the Sisters of Fate's control. (GOW 2 Novel chapter 48)
- Thor gets BFR for being able to send Jormungandr back in timewith his strikes (It should be noted however, that this was an accidental side-effect from Thor’s sheer power).
- (POSSIBLY) Kratos and by proxy Surtr would resist this since they've tanked blows from Thor without the temporal BFR effects.
- (POSSIBLY) Gaia would resist all the Fate's powers thanks to her thread being cut free. (GOW 2 Novel chapter 50)
- Kratos in Demigod key gets resistance to Ice Manip for Resistance from Ice Talos attacks freezing him.
- Kratos resists Sleep Manipulation in his Demigod Key for withstanding materials that's coursing with a sleeping spell.
- Cronos’s Rage gets Statistics Reduction, Absorption and Power Nullification. It can drain others of their magic. (GOW2 Novel Chapter 35). Scales to Cronos as well.
- "Increase in Magic increases Spell Potency as per this (GOW1 Chapter 12 Intro)." and "Spells in God of War increase in potency with more magic being poured into them (GOW1 Chapter 12)" get replaced with "Spells in God of War increase in potency with more magic being poured into them (GOW1 Chapter 12). Some more evidence for Magic tying to one’s strength (GOW2 Novel Chapter 35)"
- Unity Stone grants Interdimensional Travel beyond the Norse Pantheon, and Resistance to Existence Erasure due to being forged of some Primordial Jotnar Creative Essence, the stuff that makes up all the Realms.
- TINY CORRECTION FOR YGGDRASIL'S TYPE 4 ACAUSALITY: Yggdrasil gets Acausality Type 4 because it also predates all of time and reality, having existed even before Ginnungagap, the void that preceded all of Creation before the Primordial Forces of Fire and Ice joined to form Ymir, time was young at the moment of his birth. The concepts of life, death, rebirth, time and space, are nothing more than mere parts of Yggdrasil, the tree sustains them and their existence).
- The High 3-A and Low 2-C ratings get removed from the pages and everyone gets scaled to solid 2-C. Main reason being that the former two are extremely casual feats from both Helios and Cronos, as the former was incapacitated completely by Atlas and was even having his power siphoned off by Atlas which would weaken him even further, yet he still illuminated the infinite-sized underworld, and Cronos' birth created time itself. As for the 2-C feats, we have:
- Morpheus being able to merge his realm with the main Mortal Realm;
- Atlas holding up all of Greek Creation and Persephone’s death blast having completely destroyed the World Pillar that held up all of creation, forcing Atlas to lift it up in the pillar’s stead for all of eternity and Bruno Velazquez straight up confirming that Atlas is lifting up the entire Greek World. When asked whether this was just Greece or the entire universe of the Greek Mythology side of things, Bruno explicitly replied that it’s the latter (Also refer to the first part where he explicitly states that the Primordials created the Greek World, back then there was no other realm other than the primordial void, Chaos herself, from whom all the other Primordials emerged). The realms that would be affected are detailed here.
- As for the Norse side of things, the cosmology is also laid out as shown here. The 2-C feats we have include:
- Odin killing Ymir and carving out his flesh to create all the realms including Midgard, minus Jotunheim, Niflheim and Muspelheim
- Thor and Young Jormungandr fight against each other in Ragnarok, where their clash so violently shakes the World Tree (Yggdrasil) that it splinters, accidentally casting the Serpent backwards through time, as finally shown in Ragnarok and confirming Mimir’s suspicions to be true.
- Immediately after being BFR’d to the past, that same Jormungandr fights Thor yet again, this time shaking all the 9 Realms of the Norse Pantheon, and this time the fight ends in a stalemate.
- There is also Surtr burning Asgard down to ash by tearing off the branch that holds the realm as per Groa’s ACTUAL PROPHECY, and then destroying both of them, the resulting explosion shakes the Tree to its core (The entire thing would have burned down had Kratos not saved the day by changing his own fate by killing Heimdall and indirectly changing the outcome of all the events of Ragnarok).
- Nidhogg and her offspring being able to literally cut through the fabric of the realms and Nidhogg chewing through the main roots of the tree to prevent overgrowth.
- Nidhogg’s offspring, the Lindwyrms, devouring the realms if no suitable role model supervises them and their training.
- Garmr threatening to eat through the fabric of the realms, having previously eaten a few of Midgard’s mountain ranges, and the fifth season between winter and spring, with no one remembering what that season was.
- MASSIVE RANGE UPGRADES. The Primordial War and the sheer chaos of the Primordials caused galaxies to spawn left to right. Cronos should straight up scale to the range of the Primordials including his father, because his fight to kill his father Uranus was described as being cosmic in scale. The other Titans should likely scale, but the likes Aegaeon and Atlas, who are both only slightly stronger in terms of physicals, would definitely scale above him. Kratos and Atlas get Planetary range at the bare minimum by having the Atlas Quake, being able to shake the entire world as per the GOW2 novel (Chapter 38) (And not just some random "shake the Earth statement"). It should be High Universal at its highest based on the fact that the Mortal World is confirmed to have its cosmos be infinite in size in the novel. That and Helios just happens to be a thing. There is also the Titan War to consider, which forged the entire landscape of the Mortal World, all the way down from Tartarus which at this point had already been a separate dimension from the Mortal World due to the barrier separating it and because of the Domain of Death.
- The Sisters of Fate would also have their range upgraded to Low Multiversal, since their Threads of Fate span all of life and timein the Greek Pantheon (Which would effectively make them stretch to eternity and beyond), Threads they themselves weave, cut and multitask according to their wishes.
- This would unironically also serve as a supporting speed feat for Atropos’s Astral Projection Feat which is verbatim stated to be Infinite Speed (GOW2 Novel Chapter 11) (which, bear with us, isn’t hyperbole anymore thanks to the Threads of Fate and Helios being a thing, that and the projection speed feat definitely involves good-old fashioned travel as per GOW2 Novel Chapter 13) because the Sisters themselves create, weave and manipulate the threads to their liking, said threads stretching to every point in the world with no stone being unturned (GOW2 Novel Chapter 6), being able to not only manipulate and affect all living beings including animals and humans, but also all aspects of geography including mountains and volcanoes (GOW2 Novel Chapter 8), rivers (GOW2 Novel Chapter 30) and continents (GOW2 Novel Chapter 42), and there are countless other threads like this for each individual, if not more (GOW2 Novel Chapter 46), the Sisters multi-task these threads consistently without fail. Clotho herself states that it is through her threads that all life is born. And of course, who can forget GOW: Ragnarok taking it to another level by making the Threads span all of time as well? Effectively this makes the Sisters of Fate one of the most powerful beings in the entire verse, as nothing in the Norse Pantheon, not even the Norns, carry anything remotely as powerful as this.
- There are multiple instances of the Sisters repeatedly multitasking the threads: fashioning an intricate tapestry out of the Threads of Fate and creating brand new possibilities (GOW2 Novel Chapter 5), weaving moment-to-moment outcomes on threads and showing incredible precision when weaving the lives of mortals (GOW2 Novel Chapter 8), and even being able to easily detect vibrations in the threads and then expertly react to the incoming quivers and shakes in a thread in real time and then re-adjusting them meticulously to produce outcomes that align with their own interests (GOW2 Novel Chapter 13)
- Realm Shift gets Universal+ range as it can shift entire realms, Realm Shift by default manipulates and distorts space and time themselves. This effectively solidifies the 9 Realms having their own separate space and time.
- The Light of Dawn’s light, which is powered up by the Primordial Flame, the same power source Helios uses and fuels himself with his own power, gets upgraded to Infinite Speed, meaning Persephone straight up gets upgraded to Infinite Speed as well for reacting to and blocking it. This is because the Light of Dawn’s beams work in the same exact manner as those of Helios, only they aren’t omnidirectional, but single-directional and focused onto a specific target. This would also upgrade Kratos with the Gauntlet of Zeus to have his speed upgraded to that level. That and he easily kept up with a weakened Atlas who easily blitzed and blindsided Helios. On top of this, fodder Titans have been shown to keep up with Hermes himself (Who himself partook in the battle), so Atlas should undoubtedly scale above this as well.
- Remove Hephaestus. He has no reason to exist, even from a combat or prep perspective.
- The Sisters of Fate have their Lifting Strength upgraded to Infinite, as they can easily restrain Kratos physically and he had trouble breaking free from their grip, Kratos even considered Atropos’s grip to be too powerful to break loose from (GOW2 Chapter 47).
- Surtr as Ragnarok gets his LS upgraded to Immeasurable for putting up a comparable fight against Thor alongside Jormungandr off-screen.
- Poseidon’s lifting Strength scales to the rest of the Gods, AKA he also becomes Immeasurable. He is considerably superior to his own Hippocampi (Which are effectively mere extensions of his own Water Form), who could easily overpower and pull down Titans as well as restrain Gaia, and he was able to break free from her Grip.
- More evidence of Gaia’s Omnipresence. Wherever trees, earth and rocks exist, Gaia is there as well (GOW2 Novel Chapter 17)
- Demigod Kratos gets access to the Blade of Artemis and Spear of Destiny as his other Tier 2 weapons. Artemis herself used her Blade to slay a Titan, and the novel also states it is much stronger than the Blades of Chaos (GOW1 Novel Chapter 23). As for the Spear of Destiny, the Sisters of Fate state that if they weren’t in charge, Kratos with the Spear of Destiny would have made good on his threat to kill Zeus with the spear (GOW2 Novel Chapter 36). This key addition would apply only to his Demigod self, as he had not yet entered Tier 2 territory until he had reached Atlas and destroyed his chains that restrained him (in Chains of Olympus) and until Kratos briefly held back Atlas’s fingers from crushing him.
- Kratos has his current 7-B scaling feat changed to scaling to the Python carcasses instead via this calc. The Warriors of Poseidon using the Spear of Poseidon have no grounds to scale to a Mediterranean Tempest because the spear is explicitly stated to be forged in said tempest, not that it also wields the power of that tempest, that and it would not scale to the durability of the spear either because the storm’s frontal impact area would be too large to strike the spear’s thin profile.
- Ascension peeps like the twins Castor and Pollux, and Kratos, should be upgraded to straight-up FTL, as WoG statesthat the Redeemed Warriors, even with their Essence of Hyperion ability that allows them to zip through the arena at the speed of light, still aren’t as strong or powerful as Kratos himself and thus would not scale to the Twins either. This would make both Kratos and the Twins FTL straight up. Plus, the lightning speed that they currently have is honestly kind of a low-ball and was kept as a placeholder because people took issue with the above despite it not contradicting any of the series’ showcased feats or scaling at all. Plus Redeemed Warriors can keep up with Lightning of Zeus’s attacks and parry them anyway so what the heck.
- Redeemed Warriors would thus become “At least Massively Hypersonic+, Speed of Light with the Essence of Hyperion”.
- Potential upgrade to the Furies’ dimension-creation feats (They are very real and visibly touchable, that was the intent). Tisiphone made a dimension with Sparta, countless mountains in the background and a Sun in the background, and then Tisiphone makes another dimension regarding Sparta with a Moon in the background, Alecto doing it herself later, and then there’s Alecto’s ink walls creating a dimension with countless raging storms and volcanoes in the background (The bird thing that creates the physical illusions is actually fully Tisiphone’s own power, she created the bird and she can manipulate all of its abilities, and knocking her out or killing the birddissipates the illusion, and the illusion dissipates outwards instead of collapsing inwards, as seen in the above links. Best part? The illusions and the bird are of the same exact energy type that Tisiphone so meticulously manipulates). So the rating gets upgraded to:
- At least 7-B (Based on the Python Calc) likely 4-B (The same dimension with Sparta and mountains was in daytime, and it had a Sun in the background, which would require this much energy at the bare minimum, however, the dimensions created by the Furies always originate from them and dissipate outwards from them instead of collapsing inward or being formed instantly out of nowhere, which would heavily imply that they created their Earths at the center first, and Sun at the edge second, which would require this much power)
- Some supporting feats would include their Moon Creation Feat, where they created a dimension with Sparta and the Moon in the night sky, twice in a row, which would require this much energy.
- All references of the old Norse prophecy of Thor and Odin requiring to combine their forces to defeat Surtr as well as him destroying all of creation gets removed, as in Ragnarok, Thor is actually shown to be able to easily hold his own against the combined forces of both Jormungandr and Surtr quite easily, and because of course, Odin kills him for refusing to fight Kratos after being defeated, which would naturally cause Odin to scale to the combined might of Kratos, Atreus and Freya. On top of this, as per Groa’s real prophecy, Surtr blows up only Asgard including its tree branch, but the feat is no less impressive than Thor vs Jormungandr, as when Surtr destroyed Asgard and its World Tree Branch, he too.
- Norse Kratos finally has justification to scale to his GOW3 self in terms of physical strength, speed and durability ONLY WHEN NOT HOLDING BACK AND GOING ALL OUT, as stated in his journal where in his first fight with Thor (In which they were both holding back massively, and Kratos didn’t even have his Blades of Chaos on him), Kratos called Thor’s blows being as heavy as any as he had felt. This is most certainly referring to Kratos’s held-back state, not his full-powered state, and as for Thor temporarily killing Kratos and the whole “can’t hold back on durability” thing, not only was this in a fight where both were holding back (Thor throughout the fight constantly mocks Kratos for holding back repeatedly, and even mocks him for not even having his Blades of Chaos on him, even calling the version he fought a “lesser version”, having trouble believing that Magni and Modi, and even Sigrun, lost to this lesser version, repeatedly demanding that Kratos let out his true strength as the God of War and as the Godkiller), this was also the fight where after Kratos finally went all out, he knocked out Thor’s teeth after being royally pissed off by Thor saying that Odin’s got plans for Atreus, and after getting punched that hard, Thor is thoroughly impressed and finally admits that he has gotten a taste of the Greek God of War’s strength, even calling off his blood debt. And then in the final rematch between them, Kratos was considerably more serious than he ever was before in the Norse saga, where he easily overpowers Mjolnir and tosses it right back to him, takes a full-powered and blood lusted blow to the head from an enraged Thor who is no longer holding back (Thor stating here that now he is allowed to kill him), and Kratos just shrugs it off this time as if nothing happened to him. This would most certainly put Thor on the levels of the Three Olympians, most definitely at the level of Poseidon for sure, as Bruno Velazquez has also previously stated that since Thor could easily kill Giants, he would at least be strong enough to contend with Poseidon’s Hippocampi (Backup image here), which easily solo’d Titans and served as extensions of Poseidon’s Water Form.
- There is further evidence to substantiate this claim. The official Blog Post Guide for GOW2018 states that Kratos is slowly reawakening his dormant powers. The GoW2018 Comic-Con interview’s snippet also states that Kratos is constantly restraining himself in order to set a better path for his son. Cory Barlog in a Director’s Commentary also states that Kratos hasn’t had a fight like Baldur in a long time and that he’s shaking off the cobwebs. The blog for the first boss fight against Baldur also states that Kratos is a little rusty in this fight, which Eric Williams has since confirmed in an interview for GoW Ragnarok. This should destroy any notion that Norse Kratos is in any way, shape or form, superior to his old Endgame GoW3 Pre-Hope self (Yes, I know, there are two tweets, one from Cory and Bruno each, that claim Norse Kratos to be stronger because “muh parental love”, but they are contradicted heavily by the game itself, by even the novel itself (Where it states Kratos was a lot more muscular in his Greek Days), by two official Sony Blogs for the actual game itself, and by three main interviews with the developers themselves.
- Because of the above, it should also be added in a note to Kratos’s page IN BOLD that his statement of Thor’s blows being as heavy as any he had ever felt only confirms that the blows are on par with the strongest people he's taken hits from and survived before he obtained the power-ups in GoW2 and 3 (Notably being Hades’ Soul and the Titan amps). Which would be the Brother Kings (barring Zeus) and maybe Ares, given the fact that this is mentioned from a massively-holding-back-no-Blades-of-Chaos Kratos’s point-of-view. The fact that in their rematch, Thor was actually going all out to kill him and the same level blow that put Kratos out of commission in their first fight is literally face-tanked by him this time around should tell you that much. Done. Added to Thor’s page. Only Kratos’s page needs this to be added.
- Atreus gets upgraded to “At most 2-C” for his Post-Potential Realization key at the very end of the game, as it is not until the very end of the game after he gets the scolding/pep-talk/”I KILLED MY FATHER” story from his dad Kratos is Atreus fully confident about his godhood and helping out against Baldur, by that point he took a blow from Baldur fully meant to be used to grievously harm Kratos, and the best thing Atreus gets is just having his wind knocked out via the solar plexus trick, from which he very quickly recovers with no long-lasting damage, and right before the final beatdown his kicks can actually do decent damage to Baldur. He also punched and kicked Odin in the face, also causing decent damage this time around. His LS should still remain Unknown for now, as he wasn’t able to break free from Baldur’s choke-hold. And of course, the infamous chest-punching scene.
- Atreus gets full on 2-C and Immeasurable LS in Rage Mode/Bear Mode as he could easily harm and wrestle against Kratos as a bear, and he tore apart a Valkyrie in two pieces alongside him in the Spark Between the Worlds. He also bit Odin in the arm in Wolf Form.
- All the Titans and Gods get better stamina ratings, like fighting for a thousand years in the Great War between the Titans and Olympians without ever tiring.
- Ares gets at least High Universal range because his scream can affect the entire world and heavens above it (GOW1 Novel Chapter 9), with the Mortal World already having been confirmed to be an infinite-sized universe. Same for Zeus, his voice shook the foundations of the world itself (That’d prolly be Low Multiversal I’d reckon) (GOW2 Novel Chapter 49), and he can also affect gods regardless of where they are in the Pantheon (GOW1 Novel Chapter 2). Poseidon gets a range upgrade to at least Planetary, since him merely giving a roar and raising his fist causes the entire world to tremble before his might, no magic needed (GOW1 Novel Chapter 2).
- Because of this, the majority of the Gods (Kratos, Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Odin, Thor especially) also get limited Sound Manipulation with their voice alone.
- Kratos with a Sliver of Hope also has a limited Sound Manipulation feat of his own, in his giant state, his voice shook the mountain behind him (GOW1 Novel Chapter 31)
- Zeus also gets Interdimensional range because he threatens to kill Ares with his bolt and says he can even strike him, regardless of where his location is. (GOW1 Novel Chapter 2). That and he literally dug a hole from the Mortal World to the Underworld to allow Kratos to escape.
- Atropos can also summon soldiers from the depths of Hades, this would grant her Interdimensional Range too.
Missed Additions:
- Kratos’s statements of being the perfect warrior from GOW1 and being fashioned by Ares and the Furies to tear down the very walls of Olympus itself (in GOW Ascension) should be added. Him being praised by both Athena (GOW2 Novel Chapter 19) and the Sisters (GOW2 Novel Chapter 36) to be a warrior without equal, to be second to none, should also be added
- As for what other upgrades Fear Zeus would get:
- Conceptual Mind Manipulation because he literally invaded Fear in a brute-forced manner into Kratos’s mind to completely destroy any remnants of whatever consciousness lingered within him.
- His soul and mind resistance gets buffed even further because they are enforced by Fear (This is for base Zeus)
- As Per WoG, Kratos had his soul completely destroyed by Fear Zeus, but later PoH Kratos shrugs him off. So Fear Zeus gets soul destruction of enhanced nature if not conceptual because of how it was done. And PoH gets resistance to it.
- Kratos gets further justification for NPI due to being able to interact with the Realm Tears with his bare hands, which are literal holes in the fabric of reality, and are noted to be Voids.
- Kratos gets Martial Arts via the art of Pankration (More details here), a little bit of Jiu-Jitsu knee strikes (Here) and via also having knowledge of all forms of war and combat as the God of War.
- Hades should have passive Corruption (scan)
- Another feat of Kratos affecting intangible being (scan)
- Ares should have Necromancy (scan)
- Athena should have Transmutation (scan)
- So basically, anybody who can mess around with souls would also end up having Concept Manipulation Type 3, Mind Manipulation and Memory Manipulation (Mind aspect, affecting even one part of the soul causes the entire being and their memory to suffer) and Probability Manipulation (Luck aspect). Form represents the concept of your existence so it would be Type 3 Conceptual Manipulation, and Direction granting Vector Manipulation as it's part of what makes Vectors in the first place. In terms of the noteworthy characters in the series that have showings of affecting the soul, Thor vs Laufey splitting a soul comes to mind. Poseidon’s Electric Powers can destroy both the body and spirit (Including incorporeal Wraiths) completely. There is also Fear Zeus completely destroying Kratos’s Soul, Hermes controlling the souls and sending them to the underworld, and Hades in general being able to manipulate, absorb, crush, control, and cleave souls.
