I know, but add it to the fact that apparently it isn't totally in-canon for Thanos to start with them (I'm not enough knowledgeable on him) and the match is kinda unbalanced.

It has to be extremely out of character.
Which is why I disagree with the removal. Thanos is unlikely to. But it's not out of the question. Also didn't start with lava off the bat vs Vegeta just when he started annoying him or prove he was stronger
