Arjuna literally absorbed his Tree of Emptiness, which is comparable to Goetia, and then absorbed several more gods after that (minimum of 12, possibly much much more)
Karna only beat Arjuna after Arjuna was drastically weakened by a multitude of other factors
and Gil only beat Karna with something that USED to be 1A but was nerfed back to Low 1C
so either way Arjuna would just exist and Gil dies
