If you really pay attention what kukulkan said about fake sky, fake sky is conceptual by nature, cause it was the result of ley lines being converted as barrier that protected the planet. You can destroy it physically just like surtalogi once tore it to skirk, but it was intangible and invisible at first place, so it requires some kind of npi.

It don't say that they used ley lines being converted as barrier tho, It once used by the Heavenly Principles to converted into a "girdle that defends the planet", so it's not a barrier. So, think of the Ley Lines as a safety belt to protects Teyvat internally and the False Sky as a shield that protects Teyvat externally.

The Ley Line's original purposes was to help to counter the Abyss, but later it was modified by the Heavenly Principles to what they look like now, as a "Girdle" that protects the planet, which is becomes a defensive thing rather than a counter attack.

I mean yeah you can destroy it physically, but using non-physical power is more efficient. The example of that non-physical power is Ronova's power when she killed a pocket dimension in the God's Limits trailer. That means that, either Surtalogi's physical power is strong enough to break it or he also used some kind of non-physical power too.

it is possible that the false sky is not phanes' egg shell, but just a leyline modified by phanes after the war of vengeance, child of istaroth also seems to explain the same thing
