Genshin Impact Discussion Thread

I mean we've known about their relationship for as long as we've known about Alice herself, seems weird to get worked up now
Yeah but Asians want all females to be virgins or idk
Remind these dudes started killing stray cats because "Scara stole their wife (Nahida) from them"

I keep wondering why the five sinners (and I suppose King Irmin) were not punished by the Heavenly Principles for using the power of the abyss. When the rest of Kaenria'h, who were innocent people, were cursed with immortality or with the curse of the desert.

The entire nation was punished, but the six involved in the disaster (the origin of it) received no punishment whatsoever. Hopefully, this will be clarified in the future. Because I doubt that the Heavenly Principles did not have enough power to destroy the Sinners at that time.

I think since Alice said Abyss is the fate that never happened and tries to infiltrate "world", I think world here doesn't mean planet or something physical, but current state of fate

Just my personal take

Abyss has been called "fate that never came to pass", "twisted nothingness" till now

Yeah, I think this is an infinite possibility. From Alice's interpretation, the Abyss can arise from unchosen possibilities. For example, if we choose A, then we don't choose B, and B becomes the Abyss.

So, in a world with infinite possibilities, the Abyss will always exist throughout the universe and cannot be destroyed. I understand a little why Skirk calls the Abyss the shadow of the world and cannot be destroyed. Because as long as the possibility exists, the Abyss will remain.

Even in the imaginary world created by Alice, the Abyss can appear on its own, because that world contains unchosen fates/possibilities.

Apparently this is a balanced match

[GI 6.5] WQ spoilers

Melanta:
Outlander... Since you are no child of humanity, how should I address you?
Traveler option:
My name is {NICKNAME}. And...
or
What do you mean by \"child of humanity\"?
Melanta:
All who descend from the first ancestor shaped by the lord of all, and those born of that lineage, are called children of humanity. Even the artificial people of the Primordial Sea, granted special pardon, are counted among them.
Melanta:
But you... You stand outside this order.
Traveler:
Why did the god take my {M#sister}{F#brother}?
Melanta:
I cannot answer, because I do not understand it myself.
Melanta:
I once believed it was merely punishment for transgressions. But now I fear there is a deeper meaning behind it, as with the heretical myth that light and darkness birthed the primordial human.
Paimon:
Why are you suddenly answering all our questions so readily?
Melanta:
This is a rule engraved upon my very soul. When a human child offers up everything in pursuit of an answer, I must speak in the Creator's stead, and withhold nothing.
Melanta:
In the end, that human child will forget all things. Fleeting answers, eternal release — this too is an expression of divine mercy.
Paimon:
Then why are you being so harsh to the people in the Hall of Emptiness?
Melanta:
This, too, is law. With the Creator absent and the void fallen from grace, I must uphold the measure once set by my lord.
Melanta:
This place exists only to preserve. All innovation, all evolution, is forbidden here.

That's crazy.

finally got varka after 30th pull, the stygian abyss coming handy giving me the primogens needed for my next 10 try wish.

Columbina in the Spanish translation of the game. She mentions that she "wants to illuminate the infinite future" when she transforms her body into Kuuvahki and spills it over Nod-Krai. Although in English she does not say "infinite future," it could also just be flowery language.

So Barbeloth can be wrong due to her hydromancy claiming he'd become the hero. That means Ved is the only infallible character in Genshin

I was reading somewhere that, according to leaks from 6.5, the place where Aether and Lumine were separated is not Celestia but Asmoday's Space. Which is also the game's start menu.
It is also assumed that Asmoday acted on his own initiative and did not receive orders from the Heavenly Principles to stop the twins.
