I jumped down the hole and it took me about 27 seconds to fall down. So we’re looking at about 264 meters of stone(length) getting vaped. Just gotta calc the width and find out how much energy is needed to vape it all

Sometimes I think Phanes can't be that ruthless. Until the game emphasizes it to you many times. Has he become worse after being wounded by the abyss? Since the abyss is unholy, it corrupts and causes madness.

Also i just found out some stuff that shows that Azhdaha is pretty definitely the OG Geo Sovereign and not a Reincarnation.
There is a genshin soundtrack named "Ode to Azhdaha" (the one that plays on his boss battle) in which the lyrics outright say that Azhdaha used to rule what is now Liyue in the past and that his territory was so vast that his imperal palace even reached the Moon. Timeline-wise his civilization has to have existed prior to the Heavenly Principles as it is so ancient there's not even ruins of it left and by the time the Unified Civilization existed, there were already other civilizations there and Azhdaha was already trapped sleeping underground.

Not only this confirms that Azhdaha used to live on the surface at some point, to further shows how he is the OG sovereign, the lore of the Feather of Columbina's artifact states that some of the "kings of the Old World" (Sovereings) alongside their people were buried beneath the earth (exactly Azhdaha's case) or deep into the ocean. There is the also lore of the one unreleased Liyue 5 start weapons that outright say in his slumber he dreamed of the chariots (the solar chariot and the moon sister's carriage) and of being asked to take his "little comrades" to the lunar palace, describing it as a dream of his past (aka it something that actually happened) which by proxy should confirm his civilization is from when the Moon Goddesses where still sided with the dragons.

I think,
Phanes does not act based on emotions, which is why he is regarded as a god without feelings. He acts according to law and fate, because he is the highest god in Genshin Impact at present. Phanes is not cruel; he punishes those who violate his rules.
Hyperborea was sentenced because they sought to create humans equal to the gods. That is the true issue in Phanes’ eyes. It was their own actions that led Phanes to punish them.
This event should also coincide with Nibelung bringing the Abyss into Teyvat. At that time, the Heavenly Principles deployed the pillars to destroy Abyssal energy. However, because the power of these pillars was immense, they inevitably destroyed the surrounding environment as well.
Enkanomiya was punished for the same fundamental reason, because at that time, all kingdoms on the surface were essentially ruled by a single king.

All I know Phanes definitely doesn't gaf about whatever happens outside Teyvat, Skirk's homeland got invaded and he doesn't do anything, Surtalogi destroys civilizations and mfw still does nothing
If he was truly sympathetic by nature, he would've atleast done something, he's capable of doing it but he doesn't
The day everyone praises Phanes as the good guy is the day I would bring the 100+ allegations of civilizations in ruin because of the Abyss yet he doesn't do anything, he literally told the Shades to curse the Khaenri'ah people for the pure blooded ones to be immortal, the mixed blood ones to be Hilichurls, he let the Sinners roam free without any consequences deadass
