The tanuki in his beast form should be comparable to the tanuki fighting Nekomusume as both are the generals in the tanuki army of around the same rank and have very similar physique and form as well as AP scaling (both are capable of fighting kitaro's friends in base form but are able to somewhat overpower them in beast form). Nekomusume is in turn capable of grappling with him. This means their LS scales and so anyone who scales to Nekomusume scales to the higher end of this calc unless the end is disputed.
these are scans of nekomusume being capable of grappling with the beastly tanuki and the scan of kitaro capable of restraining her.
