Alright, so Lloyd has the AP, durability and intelligence advantages along with being able to expose Gabite's main weakness in ice. Gabite has a range advantage and can negate Lloyd's durability with dragon rage.

I think Lloyd will be able to close the range effectively using his stealth tactics and will have the advantage when he closes said range. One good ice move from Lloyd should be enough to end Gabite.
