Future Trunks vs Majin Buu

Scenario 1: Future Trunks along with his Earth are doomed. Damn.
Scenario 2: Trunks manages to go back in time and he seeks for help. The thing is that Earth may get destroyed while Trunks is in the Present. Maybe he could have convinced Buu that a strong foe is coming soon against him, in that case Buu gets defeated and the Future Timeline will most likely be in peace until Black appears.
Scenario 3: Alter the events a bit, imagine Shin survived in the Dabura encounter. They get beat to a pulp by Buu but they survive and go to the Sacred World of the Kais where Trunks gets his potential unlocked. While that happens Shin could most likely convince Buu that someone strong is going to fight him. Ultimate Trunks would just exterminate Buu and Babidi, unlike Gohan who just toyed with Super Buu all the time.
