Krueger was constantly taking advantage of the things around him to weaken Jason, and did not rely on his abilities alone.Aparajita said:The only reason that Freddy lost in round 1, in the movie, is outside interference by the characters of the movie.
Here at 5:22, Freddy is clearly winning before, but is defeated by outside interference and their usage of Fire, his phobia.
In a random encounter, there would be no outside interference or easy to access fire.
Necroing month old threads is frowned upon.Bryce251 said:Round 1 Jason would win. He threw Freddy quite a distance with just one arm. Hes too much of a powerhouse to be taken down by force from Freddy in the real world. Round 2 Freddy wins. He reverted Jason back to a child, almost drowned him(and might have succeeded if it wasnt for outside interference) and tossed him around like it was nothing. I think Freddy could possibly kill him here, he should be able to just completely ignore Jasons durability.
Again, never demonstrated a fear of drowning in the films.Freddy1428 said:it isn't the water jason was afraid of it the fear of drowning that was connected to his inner child (hence why he turned into a little boy) being in the dream world in freddy's presence just brought this to the surface allowing freddy to exploit it. Freddy also doesn't really display a fear of fire when in the dream world(probably because it wouldn't really hurt him there) though he did show some fear when he was pulled into the real world.
Except the whole idea is that he was exploiting a fear, one Jason did not have so he shouldn't have been able to manipulate, not that drowning Jason would work, as he has been fully submersed on multiple occasions.Bryce251 said:It doesnt have to be trying to exploit a fear, drowning him could just be a method Freddy uses to try and kill him. He could turn Jason into a cockroach if he wanted because he can warp reality. No version of Jason can beat Freddy as long as he has his dream world capabilities(which apply as long as anyone is asleep). But it doesnt say Jason is asleep here or theyre in the dream world, it just says Real World Freddy and Dream World Freddy, so is this weak Freddy in the real world then gains his abilities for round 2? Or does he put Jason to sleep for round 2? Either way, any version of Jason loses as long as Freddy has his abilities.
