The two horror icons duke it out yet again.

Round 1: Real world Freddy VS Regular Jason

Round 2: Dream world Freddy VS Jason X

Fight can end in Death, KO or BFR

FreddyVSJason

Round 1 Current Vote:

Freddy: 1

Jason: 3

Round 2 Current Vote:

Freddy: 5

Jason: 0

Anyway, since no one has responded yet, I'll cast my vote.

I vote Freddy for both rounds. The reason beaing that even in the real world, Freddy has shown to have superhuman abilities such as super strength, speed and durability. He has even shown supernatural powers such as teleportation and the ability to crawl on walls and ceilings. So basically, Freddy wins via superior speed and reflexes.

In the dream world, Freddy's victory is a no brainer. Freddy in the dream wordl can ignore conventional durability, which basically renders Jason X's armor completely useless.

Round 1 I say Jason, Jason is superior in almost all categories, Freddy coudn't really harm Jason with his enormous durability, and Jason has a pretty high Regenerationn even if he did injure him, And his immortality making this even harder

Round 2 easily Goes to Freddy for obvious reasons.

R1 Jason bashes Freddy with superior AP and similar reflexes.

R2 Freddy due to warping durability going by his profile.

This seems very familiar. kek

Round 1: Jason for reasons stated above.

Round 2: Freddy wasn't able to kill Normal Jason in the Dream World, judging by the scene in the movie where he literally tosses him around like a ragdoll and Jason keeps on kicking.

"Why won't you die?" - Freddy to Jason in the Dream World

Jason X will be far more of a challenge for Krueger to put down, but I will have to agree that Freddy takes it Round 2 simply by the fact that while Krueger can chip away at Jason, Jason can't exactly do anything to him.

I honestly believe that I've had this conversation with you before.

Round 1: THIS ALREADY HAPPENED IN CANON...

Jason defeated him after a long and painful battle due being way stronger and more durable, Freddy was faster and could easily chip damage but at the end he was going to be outclassed.

Round 2:

Freddy should win, Jason barely managed to fight him off in the Dream World... Jason X might be more durable, but the results will repeat.

Yo, Otaku, think you might need to put a note if you add Fred to the victories.

Freddy has the win for Round 2 but not 1, in which the world is his domain and he has an obvious advantage.

I suggest putting something along the lines of (Note: Krueger was in the Dream World.)

The only reason that Freddy lost in round 1, in the movie, is outside interference by the characters of the movie.

Here at 5:22, Freddy is clearly winning before, but is defeated by outside interference and their usage of Fire, his phobia.

In a random encounter, there would be no outside interference or easy to access fire.

Krueger was constantly taking advantage of the things around him to weaken Jason, and did not rely on his abilities alone.

It could easily be argued as PIS considering not moments earlier, Jason was smashing him through walls and tossing him around with little effort.

Round 1 Jason would win. He threw Freddy quite a distance with just one arm. Hes too much of a powerhouse to be taken down by force from Freddy in the real world. Round 2 Freddy wins. He reverted Jason back to a child, almost drowned him(and might have succeeded if it wasnt for outside interference) and tossed him around like it was nothing. I think Freddy could possibly kill him here, he should be able to just completely ignore Jasons durability.

Necroing month old threads is frowned upon.

But to be fair, Round 2 is quite the variable because Krueger was only able to revert Jason to a child because he was able to find his fear (which is PIS because Jason has not once demonstrated a fear of water prior to the film), another thing, Krueger's power relies on the fear of others, and explicitly states that without fear he is weak.

Also, he also states if no one is afraid of him he wouldn't be able to manifest again, giving him a very noticeable weakness.

it isn't the water jason was afraid of it the fear of drowning that was connected to his inner child (hence why he turned into a little boy) being in the dream world in freddy's presence just brought this to the surface allowing freddy to exploit it. Freddy also doesn't really display a fear of fire when in the dream world(probably because it wouldn't really hurt him there) though he did show some fear when he was pulled into the real world.

Again, never demonstrated a fear of drowning in the films.

He's been unfazed by complete submersion multiple times.

Krueger's fear doesn't matter, what matters is that he's weak if he isn't feared.

Adult Jason wouldn't be scared of drowning in the real world that's understandable but young Jason (before he became the hulking zombie that he is) in the dream world with freddy attacking him probably would be. In Friday 8 at the end when the toxic waste is coming at Jason the protagonist hears a voice in jason's head sawing "don't let me drown mommy" while he's coughing up water, then the last thing the protagonist see is a young Jason crying.

As to freddy being weak without fear he had enough fear from the children of springwood to start killing again and he could inflict damage to Jason in the dream world the problem was he didn't do anything significant to Jason during the fight e.g. Like chop his head off.

A young Jason crying, couldn't that simply be a vision? Much like in the end of the first Friday the 13th when he pulled the woman into the water? Which would then contradict that point?

The fact of young Jason possibly being scared of water is void because Adult Jason no longer has this fear, Krueger doesn't have time travelling properties that could abuse it.

Jason on numerous occasions has rushed through water to get to his target, he's also been chained underwater, he wasn't bothered by this at all.

Fact of the matter is Krueger couldn't abuse a fear that Jason in the now definitely doesn't have, and is a case of PIS.

It doesnt have to be trying to exploit a fear, drowning him could just be a method Freddy uses to try and kill him. He could turn Jason into a cockroach if he wanted because he can warp reality. No version of Jason can beat Freddy as long as he has his dream world capabilities(which apply as long as anyone is asleep). But it doesnt say Jason is asleep here or theyre in the dream world, it just says Real World Freddy and Dream World Freddy, so is this weak Freddy in the real world then gains his abilities for round 2? Or does he put Jason to sleep for round 2? Either way, any version of Jason loses as long as Freddy has his abilities.

Except the whole idea is that he was exploiting a fear, one Jason did not have so he shouldn't have been able to manipulate, not that drowning Jason would work, as he has been fully submersed on multiple occasions.

As I've stated, his power is reliant on fear, he wouldn't be able to warp Jason if he wasn't afraid.

Krueger wouldn't be able to beat Jason in the dream world if you take into account his Regenerationn, Krueger wouldn't be able to manipulate a fearless target.

Krueger loses round 1 easily, round 2 is inconclusive.
