Ok. Goku's human level at best, he got killed by a lazer.
Goku getting hurt by the laser was specifically addressed by in verse power mechanics and logic. You're clearly reaching there and I even made it explicitly clear that I agree with Tier 7 offensive alchemic feats because it is consistent with the in-verse explanation

I don't mean Goku's laser anti feat is comparable, you're just using low end bullet feats. Ed's got the shit beaten out of him by pretty much every character in the series.

The Sorbet's laser example was literally just Goku heavily suppressing his defenses because he was distracted. Plus, Sorbet's laser was no ordinary laser; it's at the very least able to severely harm characters with planet level durability.

Although, even Tier 8 or 9-B characters would logically be very bullet resistant and bullets are super common tropes. But that being said, 7-C is still massively outlierish for anyone that doesn't use Philosopher Stones or Father for other reasons. Roy and AKM explained it all in detail.

To be fair Sloth was explicitly shown to be resistant to bullets, grenades, rocket launchers and Tank shells, and physical powerhouses like Major Armstrong and Sig Curtis scale to him. I believe that's outright 9-A and higher with Sloth's incredible speed, so 8-C physical durability based on calcs is still fine because it's not that inconsistent with what was directly shown to be the case in the manga

Anyway, I think this upgrade proposal has been rejected. Should I close the thread?

What stuff exactly needs to be talked about now?

I mean, people could offer constructive critiscm to others points on stuff. Which I am thinking about countering later, I just might need to get some others to help out first, and shine their opinions.

I'm not sure what needs to be discussed, but it needs to be pointed out that there's a limit how many times arguments can be circled before it's time to just close the thread.

If we care even a little bit about authorial intent, we should treat Tier 7 physical durability calcs (for human characters) as outliers in FMA.

Eh, maybe close this thread I guess? I still stand on my points, but it seems it was mostly rejected, and I don't want to seem like I'm trying to confuse anybody into agreeing.
