Flight speed (travel speed) vs reaction speed (combat speed)

When I am traveling in a car I move and react to walls and other things moving at 60mph, but when I am not in a car I can not react in the same way, because when traveling you actually don't require the ability to react all that much to obstacles, just make small motions with your fingers and toes and such.

Therefor, ability to travel at high speeds =/= ability to fight and move your body and react at those same travel speeds.

Imo, you have more awareness of your surroundings when you travel fast as compared to when you just have a leisurely stroll.

Generally, I consider flight speed very similar to combat speed/reactions, but only if fulfill certain conditions:

  • The timeframe for the cover distance is very small: cover 100 km in one hour isn't the same that cover 50 m in 1.8 seconds, in the first speed there were mcuh time to accelerate than in the first one
  • If was used a technic/skill for travel, if that technic can't be used in battle, there no way to qualify that as combat/reaction speed
