Final Fantasy Discussion Thread

Gonna wrap up Tactics and VIII then. Tactics just needs a final bit of input to approve the stats CRT and given the abilities CRT of FFVIII passed some time ago I can get to that as well, though I want to revise the stats as well with a bunch of stuff I found that may be of use.

I asked for the calcs. It may seem like a lot of feats, but I'm pretty sure most of them aren't useable. Still wanted to make sure and see what could be used and all.

Do those games say anything about the cosmology?
 
Ivalice literally has Cloud appearing in Tactics despite him being in a separate universe, they can add more to the fact the universes are connected.

I wouldn't say most. Only about half the pages are out of date rn with profiles for FF's 7 and 8 are being worked on for their recent revisions (with a possible part 2 for the latter in the future). The games that are in dire need of revisions are 10, 11, 14, 15, and the Ivalice games, with 16 profiles being worked on.

Ah, I see. Fair enough.

As the the games in dire need of revisions, I'll say that IX is in that category as well. Most of the existing IX pages lack scans, don’t separate optional equipment from their main tabs, and are still missing a good number of items when it comes to indexing PnAs. We're also missing pages for at least half the cast - which shouldn't be terribly challenging, I think? Steiner, Eiko, Beatrix, Hades, and Soulcage come to mind.

Right, forgot FF9, yeah that's also in need of revision. Though the priority is getting the stuff with the most to cover out of the way first. So all the games set in Ivalice (12, the Tactics series, and Vagrant Story) and FF14 are priority #1.

There's only one final detail I have to check out. While adding scans for pretty much everything I came across this. It essentially says the Lightning Bow shoots arrows at the speed of lightning. Which can be easily blocked or dodged by units. May not sound so impressive, but you get this bow in Chapter 2, which is precisely where I was lacking a good speed feat and more importantly, it can be dodged like this and like this.

To an extent yes, given all bows use the same animations and everything. I was wondering what could be done for dodging a point-blank attack that's noted to be lightning fast (with your back turned and everything).
