Because of VSBW rules allowing 24 hour Incap as a Wincon. While Sonic has never lost, he has been incapacitated for a period of time.

But how long has Sonic been usually incapacitated for is the question if anyone is going to use that as an arguement? A few hours? A day, maybe two? He has been knocked out before, but I can't remember if it was ever for a substantial amount of time.
